This is why I don't like doing get paid to offers and why I prefer PTC.
I decided to sign my daughter up for a free parents magazine online because she is expecting her first child. This is a magazine that all expectant parents can get for free by simply filling in and mailing a postcard.
I click on the GPT offer. Fill out the form w/my daughter's info. The form requires that you MUST say yes to one additional offer on the page, I sign up to put her email on some list.
The next page says I must sign up for one third party offer (like another PTC/PTR site). So I click on the link and go back to the parents mag offer.
Now it tells me that to get my free parents magazine I must:
1 - Refer five friends to the offer and they must also request the magazine, one freebie newsletter, AND a third party offer (so in other words I, along with five friends, must complete three offers each - one for the magazine, one freebie newsletter, and a third party offer).
2 - After I refer my five friends and they complete their 3 offers, I must print out and mail in the form to get the free magazine.
Of course at this point she is going to be receiving emails from at least two places because they have her email.
I think I'll stick to clicking on banners.

That's totally disgusting. They're really making you jump through hoops there just to get a free magazine. Makes me feel glad that I never got into all that because there aren't that many offers available for me...

I always go for easy offer that only need simple sign up with email. Although the reward is less, I get less trouble too

Yeah I hate that to.Like those sites get a free ipod, laptop, money whatever. You have to sign up for a "Free" offer but when you look at it you need a credit card and after the fact the offer turns out to not be so free so I stay far away from those scams cause with truely free stuff you should need to enter a credit card.I never trust those places with my info.

Yes it is easier and safer cause then they don't have your credit card info.

You mean you don't get bombarded with junk email? I made the mistake of giving my email to one of those "just submit your email address" offers. I had to get a new email address!

i think it all depemnds on the site you dealwith and what your getting in return i wouldnt do all that for a magazine but did do that and jumped through hoops for the xbox 360 the kids play on everyday and the ipod 40gb my daughter carrys to school eaqchone gotten with spending less than $25 each so if the sites legit and the offers are legit its worth it in the long run the problem is theyres too many sites not legit that are only scamming for emails and personal info.............

You need to learn to choose which offers to complete. There are a lot of free easy offers that don't need credit card information. I completed one offer that didn't need my personal information at all and got paid near 1$. I like completing offers becoz the cashout is low($1 in intoffers. no minimum in www.chinagpt.com). Paid to click is simple but cashout is high. u have a much higher chance of being scammed becoz many ptc sites don't have real advertisers.

I was wondering has anyone here heard on the site
http://www.mycashprizes.com.I signed up and for a prize (50$ paypal) that was worth 50points and did a free offer that was 25points and it says that you get You receive 20% of each of your referrals' points.I have 12 referrals but no extra points and I am 25points away from the prize. It says you get paid the same day once you get enough points.
What I am asking is this site true or just a scam.

I tried it, but my referrals aren't doing any offers either.
I was told that they do pay, but that was a few months ago... so I'm not sure if they still are.
Good luck!!

My Referrals have said that they have done some offers but all there offer requests have said "Request Sent to Affiliate" which means they haven't gotten there credits.I have also sent in these offer requests and got the same message so I haven't gotten an credits either and I should have hit payout like 1 month agao but because of that Affiliate thing I haven't gotten anything.

I'm glad someone said this. The racist attitudes I see everyday on the internet are astounding. You can not assume that everyone is a crook because of a few people. Every country, every race has their criminals.
I used to receive a least 10 offers a day in my old email inbox from "employers" in the United Kingdom for "jobs" that required receiving payments and wiring money. So many, that I had to get a new address. Yet I do not see anyone accusing England, Britain or anywhere else in Europe of being a hot bed for scam artists. Why is that?
Personally, I belong to several honest, paying sites that are run by Chinese WMs.

That is quite offensive, do you know how many good and famous programs nowadays own by Chinese (or Chinese descendant who live overseas now)?
You can mention Xray-Cash, OrangeBizs, RoseBizs, CashDelight, and many more.
And yes, there are many cheaters from China too but please don't make your judgement like that.

As a PO from the USA I find this comment offensive and racist and pretty much OT to boot. You are painting with a really broad brush here and thinking that saying ROFL makes it all acceptable. It ain't a funny comment and it ain't a funny attitude.
There are cheaters (both members and PO's)from EVERY country on the map. There are honest members and PO's from every country on the map too.

Just out of curiousity... do you use regular affiliate programs or does your site mainly deal with signing up to international programs?
I ask because I haven't seen a single affiliate program that pays CPL, CPA or whatever... that allows international signups.

didnt mean it to be offensive as we are a hispanic company that have faced alot of racism but with the current problems in ptc where many ptcs are not paying to china myself NOT included that was reason for comment i didnt speak of racism but of fact 84 payouts requested monday for tuedays payouts from china 79 cheaters detected sam ething every payday thats why my opinion based on fact not on racism i am far from racist and if it seemed a racist remark i apologize but my actions speak for themselves as we are one of the few ptcs that will take the time to wade through and find the cheaters from china and actually pay the legitimate chinese members most just declare no payouts to china.........

thank dashza,cloud^77,bugsbunny1959 for your comments and support.

I have heard a lot of this cheating thing so I don't mind it at all. I admit there are some cheaters in China.but not all of them are cheaters. Just a few of them. The reason I heard is that they have been scammed and wasted a lot of time before.so they think cheating is a way to protect themselves.

of course,I don't agree with them and I am not one of them. I am an honest WM and I pay daily without minimum cashout. check out my payment proof!

That is why I open my site! My site will become a role model of no racism,no scam,no cheating! PTC industry is falling becoz of too many scammers who have no real advertisers only making money by selling referrals and upgrade. Personally, I think paid to sign up has a better future than ptc coz my advertisers are real advertisers not just other ptc sites.

actually i disagree ptc isnt falling its going through a major upheaval that are actually benefitting the legitimate sites on my sites advertising has grown over 500% in last week and new users is increasing everyday im happy in a way alot of this is happening because every lil kid with a computer was opening the next great site and scamming when they didnt have enough money to pay and couldnt ask mommy and daddy for the cash i know two sites right now running that are owned by a 13 year old who started with $2 he earned from me in his paypal and cant pay his members now lol cause didnt sell adverts and not much upgrades so he will be gone in 2 weeks just imagine what his 1000+ members gonna think ptc failing or falling no way its just gona get better.

Feb 24 2008, 01:06 PM
In regards to the lack of GPT program affiliates that allow international signups... I have a tip if you PM me. There are some sites that allow publishers to advertise freebie / gpt / paid survey / ptr / ptc and get paid per action and for signups via a flat commission and not a referral type program like most. In essence, you get paid per lead for GPT and other related get paid sites. There are also paid survey sites open to affiliates via Commission Junction.com but this doesn't allow you to access the free money or Get Paid To marketing sites avaliable to blog writers, websites, and other online affiliate sites. Good luck to you! Feel free to ask for additional questions or advice.
