This isn't meant to down anyones sites or anything like that. I just never understood why people use and promote PTC sites. Maybe someone can fill me in on what's good about it. I've been into GPT's for a while and have never even looked twice at a PTC program. The average pay is what, 2 cents a click? 1 cent? with a whopping 5 cent sign up bonus? and there's also a limit to what you can click? I can't see the average person making no more than $20 a month from clicking 100 times a day and busting a** to get referrals. I was thinking that maybe it's one of the only types of programs that's available to international members, and that's why people use them.
Please fill me in on the good things about PTC and why it's worth your time.

Hi, Brandon! I'm a member of some PTCs and PTRs. All of them are free so I don't pay upon sign-up. "Why do [I] waste my time with PTC?" It's because I see payment proofs from credible members here. Sure the pay is not that huge unless you have an extensive and active downline. But I click the ads anyway since I'm always on the net most of my waking hours.

I'm sorry. I should have compared it to other GPT sites. I meant, why do people use PTC sites when there's many of other kinds of GPT sites that pay alot more than PTC.

PTSUs and survey sites pay a lot provided that either you're from a Tier1 country or you have active referrals from Tier1 countries. PTRs don't pay much per click... less than a dollar, unless we're looking at scam PTR sites. Most PTCs have $0.01 value per click and 100% referral. I guess these two attributes of (some) PTC attract members to sign up. Unfortunately, I see a lot of PTC sites mushrooming and in a month or two they die.

edited to add: What I do is combine some PTCs, PTRs, and a couple of survey sites. Also, I hope and pray that the sites I'm under will pay me when I reach payout. I'm taking my chances now that I'm not busy with other things.

I figure it has alot to do with most sites not allowing international members when PTC does. Btw, I try to stay away form sites that haven't been online for at least 6 months and dont have much payment proof.

that is pretty much the biggest reason, other paying programs don't have much to offer to international ppl. alot of ppl find ptcs a hobby or a chance to earn extra money(altho not that much) while being on the net alot anyways

I earn $25 a month from PTC. I do not advertize: that is just from clicking on pennies.
Do you ever sit down to watch TV? You can click at the same time, and earn a bit. I prefer the sites that offer 2-3 cents, but I click on penny ads also.

Why interrupt your TV watching? Do it when your at work and your boss isn't looking.

I didn't realize there were PTC's that had 2 and 3 cent links. They must have a high payout request.

I make a fairly good amount monthly on PTC, but that is due to my number of referals. I bought referals on a few sites as an investment, and it has worked out pretty well so far (got all of my money back in about 2 months). My actual personal earnings from what I click doesn't amount to much, maybe $10/month. Honestly, I don't really like clicking ads, but I do out of courtesy to the sites i frequent, and the people who I am refered under. I wouldn't like my referals to stop clicking, so I wouldn't do it to someone else either.

Hits4pay has 2 cent clicks, clix4coins is usually 2 cents or more, and clixsense SOMETIMES has clicks for more than 1 cent. I hit all of clixsense regardless of return: I earn perhaps 35 cents a day from them.

And i still barely make 1/100 of that amount in quote, since year 2000. My salary is more than 100 times the amount i'm making in PTR, and my bill cost me more than 15 time of that PTR payout amount too. Thanks to those "honest" POs owning 1/4 cent link PTR site that make my life "happy" by blocking the payout button, or by disappearing like magic and avoiding member payments. And poof, the same PO appearing again and people seems to forgive them when they start seeing $$$ coming into their account. Soon after that, the same PO disappear again, leaving their "happy" members again.
At earning or getting refs, I suck at both of them. In addition, my eyesight is poor. So why do i waste my time with PTR, you say?
Because its one of my hobby, and its addictive. I love getting credit for my click. I love winning contest. I love buying advertising. I love PTPs. I love everything about my favorite PTR. Even if it doesn't make me profit.
Maybe I quit this industry someday, but not now. I'm still enjoying it.

I got out of the PTR industry awhile ago because its been going downhill steadily... I remember when i was making $4 a day from PTRs! Thats right $4, that was due to the links being 1c+ sometimes even 5c and this was in PTR. But now your lucky to see a 1c link in a PTR due to their crippled nature...
PTCs on the other hand are too limited for my taste...
Thats why i moved on to GPT and im making a min of $2.35 a day from daily surveys (plan to sign up for more GPTs eventually). I also live in Canada and GPTs generally favour US citizens but people from Canada and the UK can still make more in GPTs that they can in PTRs or PTCs unless you have one massive downline thats active.
I've also recently tried Netwinner, I love the money wheel and Banko (which is bingo). Just from playing one card of banko I earned $15 and $5 on another card, all within 2 days. This site may only pay out to tier 1 countries but if your in one, definitely try it, I'm already waiting for my Prepaid Mastercard that I'll be using to complete those credit card offers on my GPT sites.
So in the end, it all depends on where you live. If your international, sure go for PTCs but stay away from PTRs unless you find a good one because their not worth it ATM. Also, why not make a simple blog (blogger.com is the easiet plus theres a built in adsense option in it) and write about the PTCs your in, give them reviews and promote your refferal link in them? That will surely give you a nice increase in your earnings.
Hope this info has been helpful.

Because it is a hobbie, and I don't waste my time with it because it is a small amount that I receive each month like 50$ every month

I actually don't have any ref bought on any PTC and I will never buy anything or promote any PTC ever

Yup, other sites do pay much much better but that is if your from a tier 1 country, i mean i can make 75c or 80c from taking a 5 min survey that i qualify for instantly compared to spending 20 mins to earn 30c.

I don't think it is a waste of time as I don't spend a single cent on them while I get paid several time. Paid surveys & offers which offer big bucks are mostly not for international members.

I started with survey sites and PTRs. Only Ciao gives me surveys regularly and with a good value. All others are useless for me as I am in India. PTRs are just too less earning, though advertising in them is great. I am earning about $300/month from PTCs. I had invested some money and got back all by now.
AND I LOVE CLICKING

I do PTC because of the aspect of getting paid for other people's work - i.e. having referrals. And since some sites let you buy them, you don't have to worry about marketing - although I still do market, I have guaranteed signups from purchasing them. Some of them actually have active signups, which is great!
