What do y'all think of this?

Instead of making deviled eggs, what about making tuna salad (like you would put on a sandwich) and putting it into the boiled egg halves instead of just the deviled yoke filling?

Just occurred to me. I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that with eggs - I have with tomatoes.

Opinions?

as long as it's MAYONAISE tuna salad, not miracle whip tuna salad. There's a big difference in taste.

what are ya gonna do with the yolks?

Yup, it sounds mighty tasty to me but then I love tuna anyway.

We have lots of variations on this. They all start with mixing the yolks with mayonaise, then add tuna and an olive; or add shrimp and dill and a few drops of lemon juice; mix with ham and put a piece of asparagus on top; mix with parmesan and fine cut tomato and a little basil on top; a mix with smoked trout or smoked salmon is really good too.
For children I've made them with grated apple, a little sugar, ginger and cinnamon.

That sounds interesting.

For deviled eggs, we usually just use either mayo or miracle whip, add a dab of mustard and some sweet pickle relish. Sometimes we sprinkle paprika on top.

For tuna, I usually do basically the same thing, except I also add chopped up egg and maybe a little salt and pepper.

My dad always liked it with tomatoes and onions added.

I love tomatoes on most everything, but for some reason, not with tuna. And I don't like onion in my tuna. I'm real particular about tuna too. I don't like it cold. Has to be freshly made.

I do like tuna mixed with mac and cheese or egg noodles and cheese. Yum-O.

My daughter boiled some eggs and made us tuna egg boats for snacking on. Was actually quite good.

Will have to add these to our menu from now on.
