I'm soooo tired of hearing about how 'my kid has chicken pox' or 'I got bit by a tick'

Ugh, I have my own problems, must they constantly let me know about theirs?

I don't email them every day about how my baby stayed up all night with a new tooth, or how I got a flat on my car so I couldn't click my emails that day. Why do I have to read about their issues?

Frankly I don't care. You run the website not me. If you can't afford to do the payouts, YOU need to do something about it, not me.

I feel pretty realistic that 95% of the GPTRs will never pay me, and I understand that going in. Every time I get paid it's a treat.

But please webmasters & mistresses, take care of your own problems, and I'll take care of mine

Thank you
badkitty
If you think that 95% of the PTR's wont' pay you, why do you stay a member of them?
mellymom
Mostly because the 5% that do pay me make me keep coming back aa.gif

Don't get my wrong I don't think that 95% are scams, I think they are run by people that don't have a realistic view of how the referral %'s will affect payouts.

They charge $5 for a cheap ad, give .001 cents to everyone plus the referral bonus. In the end it costs them more than $5 to pay everyone that clicks it.

Pretty soon I'll be leaving GPTR, I just won't have time for it anymore. But for now it's fun and I'm able to make a few $$ a month.

But I make WAY more doing surveys and points programs.....

I do have to agree with you on the surveys and points programs, plus the fact that you dont have to spend money on them for advertising. I do spend money at my points but its to BUY things that I need or do my xmas shopping and I am rewarded big time for it aa.gif
on the subject at hand, I dont mine the emails about if w/m`s are sick because at least if i dsont get mail from someone who usually sends mail every day, I dont have to worry that they ran off or the sites down and I dont have to email them (if its more then a week I would) to see what is going on. But then again, I am the type that likes to talk to the w/m`s I like to know that they are real people like me. But I do understand that there are many who dont want to be bothered with that kind of email, its a shame there isnt a thing to check off saying no personal emails unless it is about the site and important (altho someone being sick and away from their computer for a extended period of time `` does `` have t do withthe site.
thanks for listening, hope I didnt upset anyone , it wasnt my intention. have a great day aa.gif

hmmm... guess I could be considered one of those "whining webmasters". I try to keep my members up on my situation for two reasons. One, I get around 30 emails a day asking how I'm doing. It's easier sometimes to answer in one email than 30, altho I do like to go back when I have time and acknowledge anyone that cares enough to email me. Secondly... what I'm going thru does affect my programs. With Tracy helping me out sometimes it takes a load off but some days I just don't get on the computer or don't feel well enough to try to deal with business. When I do anyway I tend to screw things up.

So if it's whining, I'll continue to do it. Members have a right to know what's going on with the programs they support.

Wouldnt it be more logical to get rid of the 95% - stick with the 5% that you like and that pay you..especially if you dont have much time...you can devote more time to the 5% then and earn more. ao.gif

I think ya have every right to "whine" now and again Jeannie..as a member of your programs I would like to be kept informed on how you are doing because I care, and I dont get much time now days to chat to you...So through one of your paid emails is the best way...keeps me informed and saves workload and gives you more time to devote to your programs and members.

This 95% applies to me too,
point is, you never know who will pay.
Fact: perfect sites, nice webmaster and all, and just one day, it is gone.
or, they raise payout, or they stop sending lots of mails suddenly so that you will only reach payout in a few years, or they get hacked and your "balance" is lost, or it was a scam and you did not know, and more recently they found cheaters in your downline and your account is therefore also deleted, or stupid enough you click a cheaters link yourself and probably there are more reasons why you will not get paid for a lot of your work.

It is very funny. Customer satisfaction is not very important I guess, because, well i do not know.

Gpt is a hobby for me, slightly adictive i guess.

I don't mind reading through the personal stuff. Sometimes, there might be someone who reqires a little prayer or two. Of course, if you are in a big hurry to get things done or don't believe in prayers, you might not want to sift through the lengthy email to find that it has nothing to do with the get-paid part.

One way to "skip" would be to have a separate email with distinguished subject title. If it's sent together with the get-paid links, then have a separate section header like "chat corner" and have it at the bottom of the email so that those who don't want to be bothered by the personal stuff can click the top get-paid links.

But of course, by implementing something like the ones stated above, important messages could be missed out. Like if the WM is sick and cannot process requests for payments as fast. In this case, those who have skipped that section better not complain about not being paid fast or not being informed.

I've to second that. I think it's important for the members to know what happening with a webmaster so they aren't surpriced when they don't get a paid mail or an answer to their questions for a few days.

I for one like the fact that you keep us all informed...I think it's great. WE also do care about yoU and how you are feeling. I think what is ment is there are certain webmasters who complain about there problems and then ask for handouts from the members....Hmmmmmm like Evelyn asking for donations for her husbands bday gift. I would rather see:

"I'm sick...no email for a couple days."
"I'm on vaction...no email for xx days."
"Family problems...no email for xx days."
"I'm fed up and need mental health time...no email today."

etc...etc...etc...

We don't really need the whole, long, drawn-out story, do we?
The above phrases are good enough for me..........no email means no email, whatever the circumstances may be.

The problem is trying to please everybody all of the time...it just cant be done...some members like to be kept informed of the webmasters problems..others dont..
I think if webmasters just did the one lines "I'm sick...no email for a couple days." "I'm on vaction...no email for xx days." "I'm fed up and need mental health time...no email today." I'm sure the WM's inbox would be flooded with irate member emails..its all a balancing act.

I think it is nice that WMs email you with little personal notes about they're life. It builds some sort of bond between member and WM, we know there is a real person there who needs someone just like us. I happen to say a prayer with each email stating they or someone close to them is ill ect. I even have spots on my websites that I will add prayer requests for those who ask.
I like to know how they are doing.......tell me, how many programs are you in that you have no clue who runs them? They dont sign they're emails (if some of them would even send emails).
The emails I do not like are the emails from the WM who are begging for money ALL the time. Needless to say, I do not belong to those programs.

IMHO Kittysdoc is correct. We all have different tastes, expectations, requirements, etc. No ONE of us is either right or wrong here. aa.gif

Personally, I prefer to hear from the webmaster if there's a problem with either the site, or if they'll be gone for a time. That way, I can plan to do other things somewhere else during the time I would have spent on that particular site.

I care a lot about some of our webbies here, and it does feel more "personal" when there's a sort of bonding. It's not for everyone, I realize, but I like the personal touch. Working in the corporate world for so many years...well that one sucked lol.

I guess, maybe just a nice blend of informative/personal, and a whole lotta paid ae.gif would be a very good thing. Oh, and as for the "begs", it's so hard to know for sure if they're real or not, unless people know them personally. I think on that one, we each just have to do what we feel best. I have a hard time saying no, but do realize there are some purely lazy con artists out there, too. Just have to be careful.

To each his/her own...and happy clicking aa.gif

I totally agree. I love all the personal stuff that some WM's include. It's nice to know that there's a real person sending out this stuff, and not just a machine. lol ad.gif

It makes me feel connected to the WM's, and it feels like they care about me enough to tell me how they're doing.

I also love the trivia and brain teasers that some company's send out. (pennypassion and badkitty-bucks to name a couple) It makes the (work? lol) clicking alot more enjoyable.

I just want to say a huge THANKS to all the WM's that are keeping it real!!! You guys sacrifice so much to make us members happy, and I think that's the greatest! It's those programs that treat their members so well that are going to survive and be the most sucessful! GREAT JOB FOLKS!!!

luv, Kimmie aa.gif ab.gif ad.gif
