I'm getting frustrated with the pausing of pages and such at traffic exchanges ( SAS ).
What browsers are you using!!!!??
Try using Firefox with the noscript/adblock pluggins. If you're using other browsers for traffic exchange and ptr and run into trouble it's your own fault, don't blame others. The internet is a dangerous place for your pc, it's your responsibility to surf with the proper protection for your computer.
Use firefox - it's free
( Don't want to hear you had same issues with firefox...it's just not true )
Although I agree with you (and practically everyone else who uses it) that Firefox is a far superior browser and use it whenever possible, sometimes situations can occur which prevent it from being the browser of choice in a particular situation.
In my case, although I vastly prefer Firefox, I choose to use IE when surfing the traffic exchanges. Why? Good Question! I prefer to surf the traffic exchanges on one side of my computer while doing something else in the other side, whether it be clicking, browsing, or (forbid) real work. Unfortunately, because of my plugins, If I have more than two Firefox windows open my system resources get stressed,
especially when surfing PTP pages. However, If I have two Firefox's and one or two IEs open My computer is usually OK, even with PTP pages everywhere.
As we all know, using IE results in you being for all intents and purposes, a giant piņata just dangling there waiting for every trojan, spyware, and crook to come take a few whacks at you. Now whenever I see something bad hit me (ot try to hit me) I look at the source code if possible, and add all relevant info to my hosts file so I don't get hit again.
As far as SAS is concerned, yes it is a little inconvenient that they pause the pages, however it is for our protection and I really do appreciate them doing that. It is the responsibility of the POs to ensure that their rotators are clean and you can tell fairly easily who the best POs are because when their site is paused they tend to clean the bad stuff out pretty quickly rather than ignore it. I would rather deal with paused sites from time to time than deal with constant attacks.
Also, as far as I am concerned, even though Firefox is protection against most of the bad stuff, it is not a cure. Just using Firefox will not eliminate the bad stuff thats out there. It will still be there. However if the POs are all as vigilant about whats in their rotator as SAS is then the problem will be eliminated because very little if any bad stuiff will be there in the end.
