I have a USB Freeview card.

They offer a reasonable quality and benefit greatly from the addition of an aerial amplifier. A card for your computer outweighs the benefits of a standard television by mere virtue of being able to record a programme directly to your hard drive and then burn to CD or DVD easily, without the expensive equipment required to rip a programme from video to the PC and finally CD.
