I recently opened an email from a person i had an argument with.The email was active (it sort of glowed on and off with horizontal stripes.My cursor froze and i switched the power off.When i switched the computer all seems fine.My antivirus said no virus detected.If it was a virus,did the other person get my files/can he access my computer now? what has actually happened plz? any assistance would be greatly appreciated,thank you. pooly5@aol.com

what anti viruse do you use? Have you scanned your computer? Also have you checked for spyware/adware?

Hi thank you for replying to me.I use AVG free antivirus and that says it has no virus as i have done a check.I only thought it strange that i was having my last email from this guy cos i told him i would delete all others.thanks again

First of all AVG sucks big time get Avast: http://www.avast.com/ and if you are using AOL software this is why your computer froze.

i highly recommend you either do what is above or get the Zone Alarm Security Suite it is 100% worth it because it has blocked so many hack attempts and unauthorized sites from accessing my computer it comes with Spyware and viruse scanning and protection a firewall thats really good not a pice of "junk"like windows and there is lots more like site blocking and so on and so forth
