I would say read the forums and see what is being said about the programmes. If they are on the boycott list I would redeem for ads and quit.

As for the watched list I know one programme on their is safe to belong to and that is Misty and Sams Cash. It is on the watched list because the original owner had severe problems in her life and did not keep a very close eye on the site. She made the bad mistake of selling ads to "all members" instead of per 1,000 and whilst she was having severe personal life problems the site was growing at a phenomenal rate. So the site ended up with a very large debt and she gave the site away to the current WM.

The current WM tried to pay people what they were owed but after trying hard he decided to freeze peoples debts and to relaunch the site. Since the relaunch he has paid quickly everyone who has at least a dollar in their account. And he has started to very, very slowly pay off the frozen debts. I think it will take a very long time before the old accounts are paid in full. But at least he is trying to do his best by everyone.

So that is one programme that you are safe with that is on the watch list, but most are there for a good reason.

I am one of those who is owed a lot of money from the "old" site but I understand why Peter froze the account. And I know what was happening in the personal life of the original WM. If I had to work full time and deal with that I think I would have had a major breakdown and ended up in hospital. I bear her no ill will over what has happened. And I spent on upgrades or am owed around $200 so am speaking as one who was hit badly by what happened.

And I see reliable-emails is also on the watch list. I think this dates back to the summer when Carole decided only Canada, the Uk and the USA could be full members. She has now reversed that decision but she has always been an honest and fast paying WM. If she has the money she pays when you request it but because a lot of income comes from affliate sites there can be a wait of a week or two. I requested my $10 earlier this month and got paid the same day. So one more from the watch list I can personally recommend.

But on the whole, sites on the watch list need to be thoroughly researched if you are a current member.

I made a change to the site in hopes of getting the home page to load faster. What I did was replace the background that used to be a series of pictures with a solid color. It loads faster for me on my turtle speed connection and I hope it does the same for you.

Could somebody check Surfbar 2 and see what it pays?

For this test, I changed the ledger entries for surfbar away from Personal Earnings (not that it will affect anyone's payout) to Surfbar Earnings. YOu should see one under your points. If so, we'll try out the other one and see if they both work right.

Went from 935,480 points to 935,481 points so I guess it is working?

surfbar2 didnot credit anything (only 1 page available) in my account....

anything that works for the site.. will do great for me!

Surfbar 2 was set to pay 25p for every visit and going by the ledger entries that show recent surfbar earnings of points in multiples of 25p, I would say that it is working and members are free to use it. I'll be taking it down for a day while we check Surfbar 4 which is the one for PTP traffic. Keep your fingers, eyes, toes crossed.

I'll be doing it after I send out the Admin Message about the socalled cheat banner.

OK, I've disabled surfbar 2 and enabled surfbar 4 with 3 ads and a different amount for the credit. I'll check back shortly to see if they are crediting the proper amount in points and/or any of y'all can let me know what it's doing so I can use my time to process ads, et al.

Just so you know, the new amounts credited are going to be for keeps and the cash surfbars will have their amounts increased, too, once all 4 are working properly.

Oh, and the crons may have to run before the sites are there for y'all to view as I just checked and it says there's no paqges left to view even though I didn't view them yet.

Found out what the problem was. yceml.net is one of the sites on the HOSTS fix that doesn't get displayed due to their being a malware site. Guess this could be one of the times when it was wrong

It was a banner on the bottom of Tier 1 & 2 PTC page for Half Ebay a banner like the one in in your earlier post it had already rotated out, saw it again today on several of those banners, tomorrow I will try to get the banner address for you.

Getting an ad link from a banner is a bit of a chore and I still can't figure it out so I'll not ask you to try to figure it out, either. If it's the one for half.com that I'm thinking of, that sites uses encrypted URLs, most likely becase they are on the list of sites blocked by the HOSTS fix. 2 things (isn't there always?)

I got them to grant me permission to edit posts in the support folder so, when I see someone post a targeted email link, I'll be able to remove the paid link so it stays targeted and I can fix any non-working links.

The February Bonus Points are in there now and there's an alt message that reads "You will be fined 10,000 points if you click this and you are not at this level" Should save a lot of time and unnecessary work than canceling accounts and reinstating them later. The fine will still be imposed for those who click a link they're not entitled to, but there will be less down time for those who do. This will only apply to upgraded members who go to the wrong place. Free members clickng any of them demonstrates you are using software so your accounts will be canceled with no reinstatement available.

Next, I'll be doing the Click Contest winners' credits and posting them elsewhere in this folder.

BTW, for those who didn't already know, kaerbaer is the admin assistant who has been helping to get the redemptions, upgrades, raffles taken care of so, if/when you get an email from her, that's the reason and she has permission, as site admin, to access your accounts for site business.

And I am the forum mod and as such have no access to the site at all. Which is just as well as I would probably mess things up somewhere along the line.

For those who want to know when their ad will be processed, we currently have 268 out of 288 email slots filled and getting more in there is a bit of a task. BTAIM, we're going to continue working on the backlog and hope to have it done within the week.
