Due to some advertisers getting signups who cancel their account immediately after joining, it is clear that the only reason for it is for the cash referral bonus so the referral bonus has been changed to 1000p instead of the $0.0025. Hopefully, this will curtail the number of fraudulent signups.

In case anyone is wondering (I'd be if I were you) the reason the Redemptions amount goes down is because those are only from current members and, as inactive members are deleted, the number reflects the members who are left. The amount on the front page for Payouts is manually edited about every 10th payment. That's why it went up by $197.30 even though today's payment was about ¼ of that amount. Everything's above board and we're not trying to pull a fast one with the amount of payments.
anomaly
I never doubted that the figures were accurate and I believe everything is above board! But thanks for the info, it is good to know! So how are you doing? Good I hope! Still have you on my prayer list! Take care OpaBear!

The VA is still giving me the runaround waiting for me to die. I finally got my Medicare Part B and I have a doctor's appointment Tuesday with a real doctor who's treated this before. I'm guessing she'll have to get the psych evaluation and complete bloodwork done first. Hoping I can talk her out of the biopsy. Certainly not looking forward to the bad days but I'll take solace in the fact that once the drugs cross the BBB, the back pain will ease up. Well, won't really ease up but I won't be able to feel it.

I am so relieved that you are seeing an expert at last. And some relief for the back pain. Leslie (husband) is on extremely strong back pain tablets and he says theyonly give partial relief. But even partial relief is something.

It saddens me how the veterans admin forced you to wait for medicare to kick in. I wish all members and non members alike as full recovery as possible with the least amount of pain and side effects from whatever ails them. Hopefully as technology advances not only will treatments improve but the costs of treatment will be low enough for those who need it to receive it.

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. The regular doctor won't give me anything for the pain because of the damage they do to the liver and the liver specialist won't give me treatment because the body builds an immunity to the drugs as they are used making subsequent treatments unavailable regardless of how much I beg them to give it to me. Here's a good laugh for y'all. The doc yesterday said the liver problem isn't life threatening and had no comment about the blood in the urine nor when I told her that I no longer care about living and wish it would end. Quantity of life means little to someone with no quality of life.
anomaly
Quality of life is way more important than Quantity, I watch my mother-in-law go through so many depressions because the quality of her life sucks! At 87 she tells me constantly that she wishes she was dead, her sight is failing, she is bent over so far that she can't even see where she is going, if she could see! Then she feels bad because she is very religious!
I feel for you OpaBear, alas there is nothing I can do but pray for you and her! Tomorrow is your birthday, and I wish you peace!

I got what you meant right off. My sister, Laurie, has been battling similar problems with her liver for a number of years. HepC, cirrhosis, and they are not sure about cancer yet, but say that's where it's heading. Add to that numerous other health issues. Not pretty. We love you, Opa, and continue to pray. Lydia

On a lighter note, due to abuse, the Transfer Earnings plugin has been disabled. Earnings will still be allowed on a case by case basis and require you to notify me that you want it done. I will then check the account and manually make the transfer. This is to discourage members from using the eDeposit to fund accounts, transferring the cash to others who then cash it out and the original member initiating a chargeback to Paypal.

The above is effective immediately. My apologies to the honest members who must suffer because of a few rotten apples. To help compensate y'all for the inconvenience, the fees have been dropped to 2% (receiver pays the fees for the transfer)

Hello all,

sorry to interrupt your clicking, but i have to tell ot talk to someone right now.

My 63 year old girlfriend has died of a sudden heart attack while i was not present. I am told that it happened so rapidly that she never knew what was happenig. She had no previous heart condition, but she had only one kidney transplanted 10 years ago and the effect of the anti-rejection drugs induced a double cancer on both lungs 2 years ago, which was cured very successfully with operation on both lungs.

She had an handicapped (intellectual deficiency) daughter of 35 years old who was with her when this death occured who was able to call 911 emergency, but nothing could e done to reanimate her.

I am myself 64 and i decided to care of her daughter who is considering me very much and likes me as her father (who i am not)

Thanks to all for your prayers

Hello Lydia,

as Ron writes often, you can be someone's light at the end of the tunnel, and right now, you are this light for me

Thanks a lot

Denis and Lydia, I feel for both of you. To lose a loved one is so very hard, especially when it is so unexpected. I know that the lose of a beloved human being is far worse than the loss of a beloved animal. If you have the pain of a broken leg and in the next hospital bed is someone in worse pain because they have two broken legs it does not make your pain any the less knowing the other person is suffering even more pain.

And Denis, you might not be the Father of your grilfriend's daughter but you are her Dad. And I am sure that continuing in that role will be a source of joy and comfort for both of you.

I have prayed for both of you. In time the pain of loss will ease, but in the meantime I hope you will both take the time to grieve. It really is important that you do this, it is part of the healing process. May God bless you both, and all other members who are suffering physically, mentally or emotionally.

And I answer to the name of Brenna

Hello Brenna,

i must thank you for your good words, and they went directly to my heart. I am writing this with tears in my eyes and one of my 2 cats lying on my computer desk. This female cat knows what happened, because she is so close to me since wednesday that she is feeling my pain.

The healing process will not be easy, but some members of both families are helping me.

I feel so much for the daughter, because she was not gifted by life. At early ages, she was at hospitals most of the time for unknown problems to me right now. Ar age 25, she had brain operation where they removed a 3 pound mass. Since then she is not too bad, except for the fact that her mood is completely imprevisible and she is now 35 but think like a 5 year old sometimes. She was living in a special center for intellectually deficient but visiting her mother and myself about 3 times a week. At one of these centers, last year, she was burned in her bath by very hot water for the whole lower part of her body and was hospitalized for months and later for rehab. She now walks with a special apparel on one of her leg and a walking aid.

All this took much energy from her mother, altough i was doing my best. I had bought a car for her mother to be able to move her around.

There is evidently a claim against those who are responsible for what happened, but this will not bring back her beloved mother to both of us.

I am sorry for taking all this place here, and it might not be the place.

However, some of you are really helping me with your good words.

Sorry, i might not be in the top 10 clickers this month (username = ticul), but since i dont sleep much, i have to keep busy.

Thank you all again

Denis

PS: Sorry for my english, i am french speaking from Quebec, Canada

I went to the urologist today for the pain in my kidney. They said to get an OK from the liver doctor and they're going to remove one of my kidneys. I have an appointment in 4 weeks for the liver doctor and the kidney doc is 4 weeks after that. Until then, I'm taking oxycontin 20mg TR when the pain gets really bad. So far, it's only been about once a week that I need to take a pill but this is just the beginning. Thanks to Kevin for the information, this is what we have to look forward to:

Expectations after surgery:
The outcome is usually good when a single kidney is removed. If both kidneys are removed or the remaining kidney does not function well enough, you will need hemodialysis or a kidney transplant.

Convalescence:
You will be given fluids through a vein (IV) and pain medication. Kidney removal surgery is often very painful because of the location of the surgical cut. However, there is less pain with laparoscopic kidney removal surgery.

The health care team will carefully watch your blood pressure, body fluid balance, blood chemistry, and electrolyte levels. These body functions are controlled, in part, by the kidneys. You will most likely have a tube to drain urine (urinary catheter) in place for a short time during your recovery.

You will probably remain in the hospital for 2 - 7 days, depending on the method of surgery used. You will be encouraged to return to light activities as soon as you feel up to it. Avoid strenuous activity for 6 weeks after the procedure.
blythburgh
The usual good and bad news mix. But thankfully we can manage with one kidney and at least you know the pain is not indefinite whilst at the moment you know the kidney pain is a permanent thing. But it is a stinker that it is a particularly painful op.

As always prayers and hugs to you. And the forum will be here waiting for you in good order when you are out of hospital. I check by daily, but when I know you are in the hospital I will check by more frequently. And I am sure that other members will jump in and answer queries before I get to them. bb.gif We have some great members here and many of them are very knowledgeable about the site.

Hi Ron,

And dont worry of having only one kidney. My girlfriend who died 3 weeks ago, had only one kidney and it was transplanted 10+ years ago.

She did not pass way for this reason, and she had a very good living with this only kidney.

Dont be afraid, all will go well.

Wherever she is, i asked her to help you and you are also in my prayers.

I just found out that there is a domain name of tesasteamails.info being used as a search engine. Just so you know, that domain has nothing to do with TTM and we feel it is in poor taste to do something like this without checking with the real tesasteamails first.

I can remember a Misty and Sams clone which had an almost the same name, cat pictures (not the real moggies that were featured on the original site layout), and was a PTR.

Thankfully it is a sort of search engine but it does imply that the two are connected. And I am sure it is done deliberately. People know and trust Tesas and think they are helping you by doing a search here. Opa Bear.

All very nasty and I hope they get what's coming to them.
