Just to make sure it's working correctly. That as a Mama/Papa Tesas' member, I was able to obtain this month's points from both the Tesas Bonus Points and the Mama/Papa Tesas Bonus Points links. Is that the way it's supposed to be ?

No and why are you clicking links in an area that you aren't supposed to be going to?

Just because there may be a flaw in the site settings doesn't give anyone the right to exploit it. That comes under the heading Site Abuse which is in Site Policy as far as what happens to those who do it.

Fortunately for all, last month's points are gone with no way for me to retrieve the records. I will, however, be checking the click logs this month. Thanks for the headsup and I hope nobody tries to do it this month unless they are tired of having an account here.

No problem Ron. I didn't do it on purpose. Although I did have some concerns that it didn't sound quite right. Thus why I asked in here.

I won't do it again. Sorry about that !

By the way, it did look like the bonus points earned from my clicking on the wrong bonus link were appropriately deducted from my account. Just so you'd know.

Thanks !

The site Points Exchange rate is tied to TTM's profit/loss We finally got the October report and it said that we paid out $392 more than we took in. Taking in less than is paid out is considered as the site taking a loss. Consequently, the site points exchange is closed because it was either that or make it a donation point because there's no money to buy points with, as of this writing. There are, however, a ton of members who are more than willing to give ou a lot more for your points than I can afford to and I highly reccommend you sell your points there, not just now but all the time.

Send an email to the site or use the Contact page with all the details. Posting the info here or sending to the email addy at this forum takes longer as I give priority to site emails over forum emails for obvious reasons.

No problem. I'll do that.

Question, how many characters can be included in the sponsor link ?

Just recently got upgraded to BabyTesas (Thanks a bunch, Ron) and now have this advertising opportunity for the first time:

Upgraded Membership Bonus Ads

Please select one of the ads below to claim your membership bonus:

Monthly Ads:
12 PT PTC (NO SEARCHES, NO PTP) / 12 PT PTC to 1000 (No Search, No PTP)
Pardon my apparent blindness, but does that really mean no PTP links are allowed? If that is the case, then is a referral link the best option? For those more experienced than I, what do you do with these opportunities? What works best for you?

Thanks for your help,
djbworkin

blythburgh
You cannot put your PTP link in there but you can put your ref link and hope you get a new ref when people click the banner.

This year has to be better than last year. The redemption in question increases the likelihood of the account getting more referrals. There are no guarantees and they do not automatically mean that you will get more referrals but there is a better chance that you will, the higher the number that you have. Papa Tesas already have a 12x as part of the upgrade package so. if you get one, you would have a 13X.

Thanks for letting Ron know but it is only the Pegasus WM who can do anything about it. The problem is the advertiser sends in a nice ad which gets accepted and then changes the content of the page. And the only way the WM knows this has happens is when nice people like you let them know.

Hi blythburgh, thanks for the reply. I also contacted PegasusPTR about this as well but I also like to let the program that is running the ad know about it as well because there are those PTR's that won't do anything about it and the other PTR's deserve to know so that they can make a choice as to whether or not to run ads for this or not. I hope that makes sense.

ETA: as we know, accepting adult ads is against PayPal's AUP and either knowingly or not knowlying running an ad such as this is a risk no PTR webmaster should take.

When I click the link This is what I see. Way back when, I decided there were certain sites whose ads I was not interested in and had no interest in being bothered with them. What I did was the HOSTS fix which isn't nearly as dangerous as some geeks would have you believe. Now, any time any of pics from any site that I have listed in there show up, they appear as that pic shows. Refreshing the page shows the same thing. Another thing I do is to use AD Block which is part of Thunderbird email program and Avant Browser, both of which I have used for longer than I can remember.

Brenna is right in that there's practically nothing I can do about the ad running as it's Pegasus PTR's place to keep or remove it, at their discretion. I did, however, edit the targetting so it now only goes to those who have also selected Adult 18+ even though that is a kid magnet. Still, it's something and I hope Pegasus PTR does something about their ads after you hitting the Report Abuse link there.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance in this or any other matter and thanks very much for bringing this to my attention.

PS. I clicked the Report Abuse link, too and told them about it. Inasmuch as there are only 29 members in that site, I doubt he'll have a time problem with respect to handling complaints.

Ooops! I sent in a banner ad with a banner taller than 60 pixels, and it was rejected. ( I read the admin note about pixel size so I checked all my banners that I had created for advertising and assumed the ones offered by the program's i'm a member with were already 60 or less ).

When I click the link for submitting ads ( for upgraded members ) i'm told it's used up. So I don't get a second chance to send a correct size banner ad?

With Firefox I use Adblock and noscript, I don't get all that stuff either, both work real well together and you can say which ads are blocked with each, noscript lets you allow or disallow any site.

I do not know of any site that has in its TOS that you will be paid within 24 hours. Most of those I belong to do indeed pay me within 24 hours. But as one makes it clear in the email they send confirming my request " I will pay you immediately if I have the money if not you must wait until I get paid by an affliate that owes me money, that is usually within 14 days but the TOS say I have 30 days in which to pay you."

The reason I don't pay right away isn't because of money as there is plenty in all the payment processors to pay members with. The problems are time and bandwidth. My current download speed is less than dialup speed and I can only spend just so much time sitting here. Consequently, I use my time as efficiently as I can and one of the ways is that I pay Paypal via masspay once a month so I can get hundreds paid in the same time as I could pay one request.

Ads good for x hits are clickable every 24 hr with the exception of edayz ads which are clickable every 12. Ads with a date in the Subject are clickable every 127 hr until they expire. Any chance that you're not waiting long enough to click them? Can you give me the EA= number so I can check and find out what the problem is? OK, that was from an advertiser who only wanted to pay people once to visit his site. The ones that are reclickable after 127 hr are the points ads sent by members but are targeted so tightly that they will never expire otherwise. Case in point - we have an ad going out for 500 hits that is targeted solely to the UK and we don't have anywhere near 500 members from there. Sorry for the confusion.

and ads that don't say they are for x hits are good for unique visits.

An easy way to remember is that, for the most part, advertisers only want to pay people once per ad to visit their site. The exceptions being search ads and PTP ads where they can make money by people visiting/searching every 24 hours so they want you to visit daily and they are willing to pay you to do so.

On the other hand, when they want signups or sales and someone doesn't buy or join the first time they pay for the visit, why would they even consider paying that person to visit again? How many times would you pay me to visit your site if I didn't make any money for you when I visited? Please bear in mind that you have to pay for the bandwidth every time I visited your site whether I bought from you or not.

Hope this doesn't come across as sarcastic as such was not my intention.
