how do you promote them? e.g. gofeed? I see many people get paid in the parise and appaulse?
anyone tell me? e.g. they don't allow exchange or paid mail ads?
Maybe if people like you alot and you be nice to them, they'll search for you at a non-incentive engine for free

People always forget about non paid ads...they do work. Yes perhaps not as good as paid but they do work or top sponsor ads or bottom sponsor ads...all that stuff works and its not incentive based

If you want people to answer your question about why you couldn't use the free domain, may be you should give more info about why it didn't work - what error message etc.
