Here's a little something to start off with.
I had planned on doing chicken and dumplins when I got off work this morning.
Boiled some chicken, took it out of the pot to cool off before removing the skin and bones. While it was cooling, cut up an onion and added to the stock, added some of my favorite seasonings, salt, pepper, chicken seasoning and crushed red peppers [sparingly on those]. Started thinking, need something else with this, so cut up some taters, small pieces, put in the pot and turned up the heat. Got a can of biscuits out and made little balls out of the dough for the dumplings. Set that aside and got the chicken deboned and skinned, added back to the pot and let the taters get done. Added the dumplings and a little bit later was all done and realy thought it turned out very good. Wishing now I had added a can of carrots like I had 1st thought to do.
So if anyone tries this and adds a can of veggies, let me know how it turned out
