Finally, I beat my PTC addiction and quit joining all these new AdBux-clone sites since none of them inspire any confidence. This new one, JamBux, is especially amusing as I've been watching their ads and the front page keeps changing. I guess eventually they will get it right. Their latest edited version is as follows:

QUOTE
At JamBux, you get paid to click on ads and visit websites. The process is easy! You simply click a link and view a website for 15 seconds to earn money. You can earn even more by referring friends. You'll get paid $0.003 for each website you personally view and 20% for each website your referrals view. Payment requests can be made every day and are processed through PayPal. The minimum payout is $5.00.

Earnings Example
» You click 10 ads per day = $0.03
» 20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $0.12
» Your daily earnings = $0.15
» Your weekly earnings = $1.05
» Your monthly earnings = $32.55
The above example is based only on 20 referrals and 10 daily clicks. Some days you will have more clicks available, some days you will have less. What if you had more referrals? What if there were more ads available?

I guess $32.55 a month sounds way more appealing than $4.50 per month bb.gif

Yes I saw the ads this morning. If you see any new sites with Bux in it. Beware! av.gif

I did notice they have decided to go for lower click value and referral %, probably hoping they will get more advertisers which seems to be a problem for the 1 cent sites.

That site has some interesting math. At least they changed the referral structure from 200% to 20% (huge drop...especially for those that spent money advertising it already.) Before that, their 1000 click ad package gave them a $4 loss.

Perhaps not all the Bux as the PTC Aurora script owned by Mark & Mike seems to be o.k. But as a general rule, I agree with you. Basically, one should look into a site before joining it or promoting it or spending money on it.

On the surface, it looks like a good thing except for the misleading advertising and pyramid type set up these sites rely on to attract unsuspecting members. I wish they would quit showing those examples of how much one can earn if they had 20 referrals clicking because there is no freakin way all members can have 20 referrals. If a member cannot earn payout in a reasonable amount of time on their own without having to rely on referrals, then it's not worth joining. Also for the good of many, it should not be promoted.

Yeah really... I had seen an earlier ad showing the page with the 200% referral earnings along with the calculations showing what huge amounts members can make. Then towards the bottom of the screen, they did show 20%. The ad I saw this morning must be like their 3rd revision.
