i was just curious. In my spare time (which I have a lot of), I will go around & click on peoples PTP links in their sgnatures. However, I have noticed that a lot of people still have old links in their signatures to sites that are no longer around or people have left that particular site but still have their old PTP links in the signature. Why can't people take just a few minutes to fix their signature links? This way it won't waste my time & others when they click the links that are dead. Otherwise, I just might have to not click on anything at all. THen that is less clicks anyone gets for their PTP links. Makes no difference to me. I just thought I would be nice & help you out a little bit. I know it can take some time to get their on the PTP & this aves on advertising as well. Think about it.

I mostly just forget to change my sig. I know it is outdated. I just don't take the time to mess with it. Sorry if it bothers you

same here. I always keep my signature up to date. A well organized signature can give you a nice amount of extra referrals or PTP-clicks.

I try to keep my siggy up to date as well, but I do miss one now and then. I have found that I do get referrals from them, but not many PTP clicks at all.

Good point you're making.
A siggy is completely free advertising and like Rick says you get a nice amount of active refs with it if you keep it up to date.

I just can't remove 5starpromotions yet, feeling that if I remove it, then it's gone for good, so it stays as a reminder of a good site and great webmistress.

I also try to keep mine up to date. Luckily in the world of surveys, there isn't a lot of change once you get with a good site they tend to stick around. And my blog is still there always...so it isn't too hard for me.

Well I can tell you that I DO click on your PTP's. I try to do it everyday but sometimes I do skip a day.

The WM of the site's domain expired & she is dealing with it. It just happened today & since that is the only problem, I am not removing the link.
Some of the sigs I am talking about is for Neonlights & no2allmails are a lot of what i see still. They are no longer around.

I think sigs are a good way to advertise but I haven't gotten any referrals through it yet.

Signatures are a good way of gaining referrals. I have joined a few sites using people's signatures. I try to keep it as updated as possible. But sometimes, I AM lazy to do it

I always keep my signature up to date but I didn't put PTP but referral link as it bring the clicker directly to the homepage or sign-up page and it create less confusion for newbie who want to join the PTR. I can always advertise my PTP in other places but not forums.

You really have a good point. I didn't even have my PTP up and I knew I was due for some changes, but I was being lazy about it I guess. Thanks for the lil kick in the pants as I've updated my signature line.

I don't think I saw anyone thank you for clicking their links Force! So let me be the first to thank you for helping your fellow members...

I had noticed a few clicks from GPF to my PTP links, so let me say I THANK YOU alot!!

I do try to keep my siggy updated mainly for the fact that I don't like to promote dead programs...lol

Your welcome & I will click from time to time on as many links on the GPF as I can. However, I have decided to remove myself from the site I had PTPs with for certain reasons. GL all.

signatures are definatly a good way to promote.
especially when you are very active so that your signature is all around the forum (and then i don't mean spamming. i would NEVER take a look at anything a spammer has in his signature)
this thread reminded me that it was actually time for me to update my signature too.
i used to have some ptp links in it, but i think that it's better to use reflinks. altough ptp links also can be used as reflink, some people don't want to click ptp and might be intrested to take a look at the site, but not at the ptp and then just take a look at the site without clicking my link. and that could cost me some refs *lol*
