Considering to buy ads there. But do not know what the results would be. Who has the experiences ?
heykarinakarina
It depends on what you are advertising.

Somebody advertised InboxDollars... the page came up blank and the timer went off. I'm not certain they test ads before sending them out...

If you buy through your earnings, make sure you have an ad tracking program for your advertising to go through. They do not have a stats page so if you don't buy enough advertising to make an obvious spike in your referrals, you won't even notice... nor know if they really did send it out.

If you buy through PayPal, don't get mad if you don't get the communication you expect as a valued advertiser.

I see I am not the only one who has had to avoid using a siggy !! Even though ET and Sharon of Ays appear to be gone, don't put it past shaddy wm;s to use the info the can find in you sig and use it against you later.

Ah I know they are still out there! Was deleted from Treasureclicks, not that it matters as I would never upgrade to receive payouts

Hi,

I would appreciate if you could give me some advice about a program who has quality adds, at least I can get some activity for the money spent

It's all about target marketing. If you want to advertise a paid to surf website, you may want to advertise at a paid to surf site as people surfing may be willing to surf at your page. This is one aspect to investigate and think about...and then think about how all paid to programs may have an advantage over non-paid to programs on sites such as paid to surf, click, ect.

Yeah, tell me about it! I've definitely read some crazy stuff happening here.

I figured as much as I bash AdBux, it's probably smart to delete my sig... I don't want to chance someone breaking into any of my accounts. I'm sure Chad already knows who I am, I'm not hiding from him and go over to AdBux straight from this site, sometimes from my own threads or after replying to a thread. It's just protection from the retaliation of the diehard AdBux bobbleheads I'm most worried about. I guess I'm too chicken to put that in my sig as that's just asking for it. I'd rather fight over more meaningful things such as Ad Wars and discuss who does 'em, why members like them, why advertisers hate them, what starts them and why sites suffer when this happens... why they are artificially exciting/beneficial for members.

Speaking of Adbux and advertising... don't get mad either if your ads expire and an odd referral id not common with normal members appears at the site you advertised through for the same program. Realize that Chad sells referrals, he is watching where you advertise, he sees the results and it would almost seem like the person being ranted about to pull a stunt like that. He doesn't make money when you get your own referrals, he does if he steps up and pulls yours away by inserting himself on your site. I think I've introduced Chad to one of the best sites for advertising I use, too bad I have a relationship with the owner. Too bad for him I mean, he won't be able to do that again... I let it slide because my account is still intact.

I may be totally off base in my suspicions, I also thought about that. All I have to say is if I were still promoting AdBux...I would have chased him off already, don't care who he is... it is my place. And the good advertisers are very territorial.

The things I do to find a good site to advertise on TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE:

1. Join the programs that seem interesting. Never advertise on a site that you don't personally participate in.

2. Watch the ads. If it is a PTR site, there will probably be a lot of PTR sites being advertised and some oddball advertisers.

3. Take notice of repeat advertisers and what they are promoting. If you see an advertiser continue to market one program, the advertising is working well for that advertiser... which means people aren't just clicking through and not reading. And whatever they are promoting on there is working as well. You will get a good feel for what the audience likes by watching the ads.

4. Beware of multiple advertisers marketing the same program. I do not join or support sites that let their advertisers run wild like that. It does not give the best bang for your buck. While these sites may be great, and maybe I'll join as a member only... but when I am an advertiser, my thoughts and wants are much much more different. I stay away from sites that care more about their members than the advertisers. I am more likely to advertise on a site that cares more about advertisers as none are ever really equal.

5. Be a member for a while and see if the program you wish to promote is being promoted by another advertiser. If it isn't, test it out. If it is, beware that there are aggressive advertisers out there. Depending on the experience or rather the cash the advertiser has and you overlap their promotion with your own referrals... you are not only going to get less referrals... but if the advertiser is territorial, they will fight you with more advertising to get the point across that this is their site to advertise this program. As a new advertiser on a site, you haven't established a relationship with the owner of the site, so should an existing advertiser choose to dellute your ads by adding more of their own... a program owner could very well not allow you to compete with the other advertiser if they care about their site and keeping the other advertiser. When something like this happens, it's best to contact the webmaster and request an ad change to a different program you'd like to promote. Getting into Ad Wars is not good for anybody.

6. Once you've found a site that you like and you've tested with a small run. Start trying to build a relationship with the owner. You do not need to advertise on many different sites to get good results... you just need to be consistent and have a website you work with that gets lots of new members a day.

7, Do not treat POs or WBs like you are doing them a favor by advertising on their site. If you've had good results, constantly tell them how wonderful their advertising is and how much of a great experience it is working with them. They will like you so much more for it. I have been given free advertising on a number of occassion just because of the way I treat program owners and webmasters. You will know you are high on their list when they start contacting you on their own to tell you about new services they have coming up, or to update you on the new members, or even to remind you that it's probably time to put out more advertising. The program owners or webmasters can be a valuable source, they know more about their members than you will.

7. I said it already, but I have to say it again. Treat the POs and WB nicely, they can do wonderous things if they like you. Don't sweat the small stuff and if they make an error, don't jump all over them. A real advertiser will make relationships with the sites and treat them like partners in this endeavor, good websites will be wanting to do the same.

8. Always use a program or online service to send your ads through that will take the viewers to the program you are promoting. An Ad Tracker. You need to be aware if you are being ripped off by a program either by not sending out the ads or tampering with the Stats page where you analyze the number of clicks vs the number of referrals. Be consistent with this as well. You must keep count on your end as well.

9. Do not send money through PayPal to a website that is not verified. Granted one of the sites I use is not verified, always find out if someone has advertised through that site and confirm the ads went out before you attempt to get money to unverified accounts. I'm not a PayPal wiz, but that is what I was told.

10. Be aware that it is easy to get referrals. Yes I really said that. The trick is how many you get for how much. Advertising to only end up with 3 referrals is not success. Do not allow yourself to get referral happy and spend wads of cash for money you may never make back. It is not easy to find a good site with low ad rates and excellent response. My acceptable amount of referrals is 2-3 referrals per $1 spent, though lately my track record has been 6 and a quarter per $1 spent. Set a goal for how many referrals you expect for the amount of money you spend, if that site can't deliever it... look for another one, or ask the program owner if they can provide you any advice on how to get a better response from their members.

Good luck!

Godaddy now offers a service to verify whois information. All used email addresses must be confirmed separately and also they call you by phone no matter where you live. When you change whois information, you have to go through the process again.
For some countries it's difficult to verify a PayPal account so this may be another option to check reliability. Honest webmasters usually have no problem entering their information.

You have to be careful. Before even considering, talk to the program owners of the sites you want to advertise and ask them if this is acceptable. I might even take a step further and get it in writing from the site giving you permission to participate in overture. What I'm saying here is it most possibly could be a forbidden form of advertising, because it can get out of control and people who think they are "clever" can put the site at risk of legal problems if they don't know what they are doing. But besides that,... if I'm going to go that far... it's going to be for products and more likely my own. Know what I mean?

The best guess I can give you, as I'd never do this, there is a two-way trust factor... PO has to trust you and you have to trust the PO. Figuring that Paid To isn't the most trustworthy biz and one look at this forum will show that some POs refuse to accept responsibility for their program nor keep their word... people should move with caution, not just members but the advertisers. I think it's too risky, if you want to try it, let me know how it goes... because I won't touch it. Sorry I can't be of more help for you.

How many sign ups did you get?

*laughing* Bobbleheads!

So I guess I'll answer my own question then.

1000 clicks brought in 4 referrals for my most difficult program that I promote... in fact none of the other members of the program advertise in the medium that I do because it is that tough to get sign ups. So-so for a small run, I can do five times better with other sites. Activity, none. Flakey, see that's why I call them bobbleheads. But some of them did read the directions and signed up with the membership with the most value. They had every intention and that means I'm getting somewhere. I need to do some tweaking on the ad.

Easy stuff works, PTR is a good one!

Why thank you heykarinakarina for telling me your results finally and stopped hijacking my thread.
