Post your reply here and lets see where gas cost the most and where gas cost the least.

I'll start:

I live in austin, Texas , USA

I pay $2.89 cents per US gallon of gas.
spiffysky
as in LPG, petrol or diesel?
there is more than one country that uses this forum and gas to me is LPG
disneypluto
Our area is $3.49 a gallon. Wow!!!! at.gif
cmbrewer
Ours (north of Dallas, TX) went up to $3.03 for unleaded today.

I should've filled up yesterday when it was $2.85 bj.gif

Supposedly, in Texas - the House was going to cancel the gasoline tax for 90 days, so it would lower the price per gallon by .20 cents. I wish they'd get on the stick & DO IT!!

~penguin~
Euro95 1,513
Super plus 1,576
Diesel 1,067
LPG 0,565

But that's in Euro/Liter bj.gif

1 Gallon = 3.785 Liters
1 Euro = $1,35

That makes:

Euro95 $7,73
Super plus $8,05
Diesel $5,45
LPG $2,89

Where is that, david?? I don't think I've seen $1.50 per gallon in at least 5 years.

I feel horrible for our European friends. These prices are just insane, the oil companies are just tooooooooo greedy! Exxon making 10.71 BILLION dollars in PROFIT in just one quarter (3 months!!!) That truly makes me ill.
strolly
Gas is what I use to heat my house and that has rocketed in price too.
Petrol I put in my car, the price is 95 pence per litre of unleaded which is equivalent to 1 dollar and 86 cents.
A gallon is 4.54 litres over here so wont post that as it will get to confusing.
I filled up my car tonight and that will last me about a week and I spent 40 pounds or 78 dollars.

That may be so, but almost 80% of Dutch gas prices as Pnguin posted are various taxes...
cubster
Just paid $1.39 australian to put one litre of petrol in my car.
mstine
$3.29 I think. Eastern Ohio.
deepseadol

$3.06 a gallon for regular unleaded in Dallas
csprks05
its 2.86 here for now in waco tx. last week it was 3.15. seems like every week it either jumps up 20-30 cents or down ai.gif
Mitaka
Our gas here is $1.079CDN per liter. Works out to roughly $4.18US per gallon.
ccofer
It has been hanging right at $2.99 for the last couple of weeks here in my area of metro Atlanta.
noodles60
2.85 for regular
Bondy_UK
Lets see if i can work this out...
- 3.79 litres per US gallon
- $2.0613 US Dollars to £1 British Pound

Cost of Petrol / Gas = 103.9p (£1.039) per litre for standard unleaded.

=========================

3.79 x 1.039 = 3.93781

3.93781 x 2.0613 = 8.117007753 (rounded at 8.12)

=========================

So basically 1 US gallon of standard unleaded petrol / gas (not hi-octane) costs $8.12 here in sunny old england bj.gif
Makeandsave
We live in a rip of place!!!!!!!!! I am glad i do not drive a car! They say the Petrol might be going up again.
Bondy_UK
Again? ffs why don't they make Gorden Brown pay his petrol from his own salary with no tax relief and then see what happens to the price!!

US Residents think yourself lucky!!

In England to drive it costs:

--> Road tax
Up to £300 = $618.39 per year

--> Residence Permit (Fee PER CAR)
For the privilege of parking outside your own house if you do not own a garage! £60 to £120 = $123.68 to $247.36 per year! bj.gif
(Grr this really p*sses me off)

--> Parking Charges
£1.10 = $2.27 for each hour you wish to park in town

--> Congestion Charge (another Blair/Brown tax invention)
£8 / £10 = $16.49 / $20.61 per day!

--> Petrol / Gas (per US Gallon)
£3.94 = $8.12

--> Insurance
Average for 18 yr old fully comp is £1500 = $3,091.95 per year
N.B At 18 you typically have to personally pay out the initial £250 to £500 of an insurance claim before a payout is made... thats $515.32 to $1,030.65!!

// Gordon Brown, the nice man he is, also introduced a Premium Tax, on top of Value Added Tax (VAT) for insurance policies, knowing its a legal requirement for all drivers to have it an.gif

I used to love England until about 8 years ago... now I hate it here, its a joke and seriously thinking about Immigrating bg.gif

This country is ruined in so many ways!

Its a shame... its such a shame
adarkenedmind

The last time we filled up a yacht here on the great lakes, it took the whole freshly filled 5000 liter diesel reserve that the marina had. (putinbay, lake erie) We still had a little room left for more in the tanks.
Here is the quiz part.
How many credit cards does it take to buy that much fuel?
A. 1
B. 2
C. 3
D. 4

My lp gas (used for heating house and hot water etc) I last paid $1.35 and have a 1500 gallon tank, takes 2 tankfulls per year to heat the house for just the winter.

$2.97 per gallon - St. Louis, MO - USA
cherylwaldrop
Travelers Rest, S.C. - $3.05/gallon for the cheap stuff.

I've started buying STP gas treatment every time I fill up. I get better mileage that way.

I've quit thinking about miles per gallon, now I think in miles per dollar. It makes more sense these days.

Cheri aa.gif

It's nice to here that is S.C. it is cheaper. We are going to Fla. at the end of the month for a wedding and we were checking on how muce the gas is. We are driving to see the sites and figured it will cost about $200 just in gas roung trip. That is still cheaper than here although they say it may go up another 10 cents in the next month.
We will be driving to Wisconsin in June and that will be even more, but we will pay it because we have to.
alita
I'm in Wisconsin right now..and it's $3.25 for unleaded. It just jumped up 7 cents from this weekend. Must be the warm weather we've been having. I should jump the border to Minnesota..it's always a few cents cheaper there. ad.gif
