Maybe the "industry" needs to change. Paying members $0.0001 for 10 seconds of their time is why there are no decent advertisers. If PTR sites would charge more for their advertising, and pay members more then you might actually see some members who are interested in products, and actually purchase things. Most sites right now only have advertising for ptp links & affiliate pages. It's takes 1000 clicks at 10 secs each to make $0.10 That's 2.7 hours of clicking for a measly $0.10! (I think my math is right)
There are sites which are paying $0.02 cents per click & $0.01 when your direct referral reads an ad, and guess what THEY PAY! I know because I have been paid by them. Their payout rate is $25 - $30 but they pay you. They charge sustainable prices. This is what the "industry" should be doing.
I've been closing my programs (after paying everyone in full) because it isn't worth my time nor the clickers time to click on 1000's of PTP ads everyday to earn $0.10.
The programs that charge ridiculously low prices is what is hurting this "industry" NOT the sites who are charging $34 CPM rates.
Now, I'm not saying that adbux might turn out to be a scam in the long run. But right now it is paying so in my book is not a scam. I'm also not saying that the owner might be chad french. I don't know if he is or not. If it is him I do believe he should be paying all his previous members, but I have no proof that it really is owned by him.

Well, you may be right in not calling it a scam because what it charges is above what it pays but if it is charging 20 to 30 times the going rate in its industry you can hardly call it sustainable. Sooner or later the advertisers will dry up. When that source of income goes then so do the clickers because there is no money to be made
The only thing that is drawing people in is the $20 CPM payment. If it gets dropped to $5 CPM or lower then maybe they will have some advertisers over the long term but even that is questionable. Especially when you can get advertising on boards like this for under $1 CPM.
At some point the costs of running the servers and the admin will also start to add up. Those things aren't free either
