I was a member, and goldmember at that. And since things arent cheap for me I aint that happy about this development.
The question I ask is why there wasnt any warning prior to this, just bam closed down. If the site can be continued by someone else, let me know, my membership is still there, as well as quite a lot of earnings...

Ron has always treated us right. I'm sure there is stuff he doesn't want to disclose to us...for a sudden decision as this it must be serious.
All I can do is extend my best wishes to Ron that he survives this and can make a speedy return to the internet. Maybe enough to say HI and better yet "WE'RE BACK!"

Well I'd say his connection is off

Cos I've mailed him a couple of times since the mail came out and not had a reply, and he's always replied to me really quickly in the past even when he's been swamped (I like to pester people when they are really busy

)
Does anyone live near MI (is that Misouri or Michigan or wherever lol - I have no idea where counties are in my own country let alone the US lol) that could maybe mail him by snail mail? I would, but by the time it gets there from the UK it would be christmas again

It was just a thought really, that if someone could get in touch with him and let him know how many people are interested in helping out - some have offered to buy it from him, others have offered to run it for him etc.
So if anyone wants to try acting as intermediary LOL (if Lexie doesn't go to live with Ron for the cooler weather

) I've got his mailing address (well his PO box mailing address - darn maybe he's lost that too

).
I know lots of people are saying 'yet another to run off with our money' but I'm hoping that he hasn't let his good name down. My personal view-point ... he's tried to keep afloat and wham it's hit him. But I suppose I could be wrong

Anyway, yet another digression from me, that's unusual!! (NOT).
If anyone fancies trying to get in touch to see if Centsablemail can be brought back online we'd be happy to hear the results

As I say, writing from the UK may take a little too long (I'm not paying express lol).

I want to thank all members for their outpouring of support. I am writing this from work. I have a very understanding boss and he has allowed me to use the business IP and the fax line as well as my work computer as a temporary way to communicate with you.
For every one email saying what about my money (which at this time there is none, I owe members about $3400, search engines have defaulted on payment in the tune of $6000 and the daily paid emails were for search engines that never paid), I have received three emails saying sorry or offering to buy or temporarily run the site. Centsable Mail is not quite dead yet. I have backed up and deleted the pages for now. A quick download of the pages and the site can be back in operation. I do not want to sell the site, if the situation improves I would like to reopen. Below is some history and a possible way out.
Now for some history and hopefully a way out of this. Last May I lost my job, because of the economy. No warning, just came in one day and was told to go home the business is closed. I took me about 3 months to find a minimum wage job. So I went from $450 a week to less then $200 a week. After about a year of paying credit card payments out of my savings, my savings are completely gone. During this time I have always paid my members, before paying the bills. After losing my job, I shredded my credit cards as not to be tempted to use them.
One member suggested asking the members for donations. This is not workable for me. I am a LEO an to proud to ask for help in this way. However, I think I have found a workable solution for you and for me. It will be called the LIFETIME Advertising Package.
I will have to temporarily change the payout from $7.50 back to the original $15.00 it was when I opened Centsable Mail. I will also change the inactivity time from 30 days to 180 days, before members are deleted for inactivity. Now for the meat and potatoes of the LIFETIME Advertising Package, only for members of Centsable Mail and only offered for 2 weeks. Within this 2 week period I will need to sell 1250 of these packages.
Here it is for $20 a package you will receive
A 5 point email once a month for life.
A 5 point PTC banner 1500 impressions once a month for life.
5000 Top Banner Impressions a month for life.
Buy 5 of these packages and receive double.
If you think this is a workable systems. Please leave your comments here on the forum. I will use the money from the first 4 package sold to turn my home phone and Internet access back on. Also remember I must sell 1250 of these packages in 2 weeks for Centsable Mail to survive. At last count there are just over 1900 Centsable Mail members.
Once I know what feedback I get and if WE think this will work I will download the pages and get the ball rolling.
Please remember, at this time I am doing this form work with limited time. So it may take me awhile to respond to comments. Please do not send emails, respond here. If WE decide to turn Centsable Mail back on this offer will as be available to new members for the 2 week period the after the site comes back on line. Also remember Centsable Mail has been more stable than any egold Bubble Game or HY egold game.
I am awaiting your feedback,
Ron

Hi Ron,
If you want to I can help you with it, please contact me then. PM me or whatever. Just let the payout stay at $7.50, I want to back up for you then.
Well now you will say why are you willing to do that, but I don't want centsablemails to stop, like mentioned earlier.
Well I hope I will hear from you

Hi,
I'm the owner of Matrix-Community (http://www.matrix-community.com) and I'm a member of Centsablemail from a long time.
I have a small idea to relaunch your program. My programm is based on a matrix, which allows members to earn MONEY and to earn free PAID LINKS and PAID MAILS.
You can ask to all goldmember an extra 5$ fee. This allowes to these members to join my matrix (I will reduce the cost of the Matrix for Centsablemail GoldMember to 4$). Then I will add in the Matrix in the second level a paid mail to 500 Centsablemail Paid by me or one package.
Then I will give 20% of every members, who upgrade to Gold or Platinum Memmebrship in my programm to Centsablemail.
In this way I will have some more members and CentsAblemail will have 1$ for each GOLDMEMBER and a lot of paid mail by me.
It's all that I can do for Centsablemail.

I will point out that this isnt a good idea. Reason behind it that not all goldmembers will want to join a matrix, myself being one of them. Plus there is the little fact that your site has only been around for 1 month, that isnt long enough to show that it is long enduring.
But anyway, yes selling ads will work on ebay and if you need help advertising through a couple of sites let me know Ron, it's good to see you sticking with it.

This is just a personal note from one American to another that has been devastated by the economic downturn. I was making $700/wk. and dropped to $200/wk. My corporation closed also. I totally understand the predicament that you find yourself in. Then on top of my losing my employment, my husband also lost his and is currently on unemployment. I wish with all of my heart that I had the measly $20.00 to purchase the package that you have posted. However, I can barely pay my rent. My thoughts go out to you. I am truly sorry that I personally cannot purchase the package and help Centsable Mail to survive. I wish I could. Just know that there is another individual out here in this vast internet that is in the same financial situation that you find yourself in. God Bless.

Hello Ron. I've been a gold member for a while and am really sorry to see the website be in the shape it's in. I wish I could afford buying a $20 package, but unfortunately I cannot since my husband is the only one working and we are barely surviving as it is. We also have a baby boy coming in September. I love the E-Bay idea. A lot of webmasters use it to raise some quick funds.

Just let me know.

Yes, I have heard of "sudden bankruptcy syndrome".
Let`s face it; most of you will beleive anything you read; swallow it hook, line and sinker.
If this "webmaster" and who know who he is, man, woman, American or Algerian, pulled a fast one.
If it is a personal bankruptcy, the first step is to LIQUIDATE all non-essential assets ie. his ptr program to be sold on e-bay, in order to help offset outstanding debts.
He did not do that.
How so conveniant that the first thing the IRS does in a personal bankruptcy case is cut off your phone line.
Get with it people.
This guy made a quick getaway with the loot OR he could no longer pay his members; perhaps blew it all at some casino or bubble game.
This is BUSINESS not ABOUT MY FRIENDS.
The morality code in business dictates looking after one`s money; not looking after another`s welfare.
Feeling sorry for him, whoever he is?
You can be sure he is reading your posts and laughing at you all. Yes from his personal computer.
Yes, he sounded like a nice guy. The most successful cons sound like nice guys; that is how the succeed.
If anything, this has been an ideal example of a well planned con and perhaps if any of you wish to succeed in making money, you will analyse and learn this con. And yes, apply it.

Hi Ron,
I have been a Goldmember with Centsablemail since the very early days of the program. You always paid me on time, honest and correct.
Also as a advertiser with Your program I never had any reason to complain.
I don't like the idea of such a stable program to disappear and I am willing to help.
I will purchase some of the lifetime advertising packages and will help to encrease the members base. My Safelists and Search Engines can be used to drive more traffic to Your website.
My own Paid E-mail program is not finished yet, but as soon as it is finished (End of June) I am willing to cooperate.
As long as You are honest, I am willing to help.

I agree with you wantumbucks. If this was a new program and webmaster I don't think people would be so quick to offer help. But it's not and he's not. Negative comments won't go a long way with most of us that have been around awhile. Too bad people newer to the industry will read them and get the wrong impression of the entire ptr industry.
Bad things happen to good people... it's a fact. So we pull together and try to make the best of it.

Well duh - I'd guess if he is going through personal bankruptcy he owes at least $10,000 or more - that $500, or maybe if he's real lucky $1000 he might get for the program would really help - not.

Must have missed that comment. The post I read said he was giving up his phone & internet - it did not say the IRS was "taking it from him". If anyone was "taking it from him" it would be the local utility company. You seem to suffer from that "I don't understand what I read" syndrome.
I have been with this program for over a year and can honestly say there has never been a moment when I thought "what a jerk", something which is quite unique for me since I have an attitude problem mixed with a low tolerance level LOL.

I have only been with GPT programs sense the middle of Jan of this year and this was one of the first ones that I signed up with.
If he decides to do this life time advertising then I would be happy to join in on that.
Now as to the quote, you must never have had money problems before.. Hmm lets see internet or food, telephone or gas for work, you have to make decisions like this before you even file for bankrupcy. We were close to filing ourselfs not to long ago and let me tell you, you make some hard choices just to survive let alone anything else. We were blessed and our situation is working itself out, some folks don't have a way out of this type of situation. So go complain in the part of the forum that is for doing such because with the war and everything that is going on in the world we should try to be nicer to one anouther...don't you agree?

I would like to see this program continue
You can count me in for at least 2 packages.
Maybe try for that 5 package special if hubby's new job is as good as I think it will be (he just started last week)
Lord know I certainly have enough programs to advertise.
Hope things will work out and let us know your auction page
Here's another thought for you (and everyone else could pitch in)
Ebay is awesome because they get so much traffic
inaddition you could try some of the smaller FREE sites
not as much traffic but no fees either
All it takes is a lttle of your time.
Here's one I know of, it is kinda small but with a very good, loyal following, and Kimberly has just told all the sellers that she has started some pretty big advertising campaigns

I know there are hundreds more and a few directed specifically toward our industry, but I am at a loss at the moment

I have been a member of Censablemail for almost a year now. I really don't care if the payout level changes or not. I am glad that the webmaster is trying to save Censablemail and not just closing shop and disappearing like so many defunct programs.
As for the lifetime package, I don't know if I'll be able to buy one or not. But even if I can't, I'll do what I can to help save the program.

Hi Ron,
Sorry to hear it, having been bankrupt 3 times and losing everything each time including loved ones i truely feel for you.
Along with the rest of us, you have been flogging your butt carrying the Internet and basically the multinationals with belief, and "rghtfully so", that it will all work and pay off for everyone.
I have been with you for 2 years and never licked a search for 2 reason's, 1: we pay for download here and when you go through 3 gigs every site counts,
2: I don't need to search a dead engine.
I have not made much on any GPTR, but YOU WERE THE ONLY ONE TO PAY ME,
This is a good excuse to take Centstable to the new future, I am Offering you $600 US worth of Hosting or Servers, etc, what ever you decide in services at My Account at Peel Corp, This subject to Tim Drobnicks approval of course, but being my account earnt It should Be fine.
Perhaps The Way to go is programs like Cashits, make the Companies pay for advertising, instead of the Affiliate doing it for free.
Well if you need this access to My account, then please write me.

I really feel blessed, with all the support members other webmaster are giving me.
I will be able to start processing email and redeemption on Saturday. If you sent in a redeemption in the last 2 weeks and it has not begun, please resumbit.
I have decided to open the lifetime advertising packages to everyone not just members. There are 4 of them and they expire on May 31, 2003. Even though the advertising package are open to anyone on the internet, members only if you purchase 5 of any one package you will recieve double the emails and banner impressions. Here's the link
http://www.centsablemail.com/pages/advertise.phpEven if you can not take advantage of this special, but know someone that can, please let them know.
I have started some eBay auction heres the link
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...5&since=-1&rd=1If the link gets edited out just do a seller search on centsablemail
If you were a member and deleted for inactivity since Jan 1, Please sign up again (I have no way of inserting members). Then email support with as much information as you feel comfortable with new username, old username, old email address, any thing that will help me find you in the old backups. And I will try to restore your earnings and points. I have backup from Jan 1, 2003. Sorry but since referrals move up with these script they will be lost.
If you are a webmaster and want to offer any specials to Centsable Mail member. I will be setting up a specials page on the website for you. Now this will take a little time but send your offer to support.
Again I feel blessed by all the support you have given.
Thank you,
Ron
