Came across this site while trying to gain more knowledge about this host file thing. Could be a good place.

Goals

This project has the following goals:

* To make available for free a centralized and automatically updated list of URLs that point to Malware. These lists can be used by system/network administrators to block user access to infected addresses. With the access blocked the risk of users getting infected by viruses is greatly reduced.
* To enable users and administrators to easily contribute to the Malware Block List including new URLs suspected of pointing to Malware.
* To alert administrators of hosts, domains and AS for the presence of Malware. Administrators are urged to removed the Malware found and to investigate the criminal activity that may be under way.
* To consolidate statistics about Viruses, Trojans and Worms that are at large.
* To list domains that host Malware.

I was wondering if there's an easy way to add the whole Malware Block list to Adblock Plus without doing each one individually? Could someone help me on this? thanks!

Thanks for sharing this site with us.

If you want to add the list that will affect all your web browsers you should add the address list to your hosts file.
CODE
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

(Good idea to make a backup first)

But of coarse you do not need to edit the hosts file if you use FireFox in conjunction with the FireFox addon AdBlock or Adblock Plus

To easily add a list to AdBlock you will need to download the list first. To do that you can just save a text document of the address list somewhere. Once you have that done go to AdBlock Preferences -> Click on Adblock Options -> Import filters -> Locate the text document

For Adblock Plus it's pretty much the same thing importing the filters

Main differences of the two:

Editing the hosts file will affect all your browsers so there's no need to install extra addons however enabling/disabling the addresses may be a pain.

With the FireFox addon AdBlock you can easily enable/disable the addresses whenever needed with a few clicks. And does not affect other web browsers.

Hope that this helps.

Here a good site that will explain how to use your host files. I currently use the "HostsMan" program. It's very simple to use, updates itself, plus I can add my own sites to block in a few seconds. I use my host files to block sites that transmit exploits so I am covered on those rare occasions that I use internet explorer.
