Let's see if I can short this. Ad Click stopped sending in about August 2002 and sat dormant until 1/1/03. Then they converted points to cash and send a couple of emails and had a few clicks. Then the site went "Domain Expired" and took nearly a month to return. Having received NOTHING from them since about January and effectively NOTHING since last September - I closed my account on April 30th! I also noticed that the member count had gone from over 10,000 to just over 6,000 in that four months as well!

I'll be posting a more general complaint in the main complaint folder in a bit. The webmasters have rules about what we, as members, can and cannot do, but there seem to be NONE for them! As a result, please see my posting about Abuses By Webmasters.

One of the last e-mails I got had a $5.00 link in it.A day or 2 later she wrote to everyone asking that anyone who clicked the link and got credited to please email her so she could remove it as it was a mistake,I emailed her with my info to remove and that was the last I heard from adclick.I logged into my account last week and the $5.00 was still there ao.gif

Um,

Shouldn't she know who clicked that link???
Lol, I think for that I'd let her find it and remove it herself.....
she did send a $5 link, then she wants to hav eyou tell her to remove it?
She can do taht herself-she is the WM.
A day or two later......so she already knows that some have gained a quick $5.

Wenmouse put the timeline on Adclick right on. I just happened to find the site recently long enough to unsubscribe.

Cannot understand someone paying hosting fees to stay inactive.

One other thing: the other site she operated: believe it was called absolute-emails; something like that.

I tried to find it and unsubscribe from there as well but could not locate it; offline or deceased I figure.

There are webmasters/mistressses who go out of their way to let the membership know when they will be gone for a vacation or the site being offline for a limited time.

And then there are the webmasters who send emails once a week or even over a greater period of time; no explanations given. They pop in and out.

For me, anyway, it is time to weed out these irresponsible programs.

As they require us to remain active and responsive to their program; is it too much to ask that we are kept informed of our program's activity regarding downtime or no ads to send. In short keeping us informed of the program's status.

If a program cannot do that, there is no point in being a member or going to lengths towards building a downline in said program.

Adclick was a good program and something happened soon after launching their second PTR (absolute-emails)

What happened? Well, I am not waiting for an answer. It is important though to unsubscribe; get your email and personal information out of the database because how can you be sure that the email address and demographics will be respected regards a TOS that has become irrelevant.
