Paid advertiser sent this link. I contacted the advertiser to let them know the code was there. Was assured it wasn't. Re-checked and code was gone. Code has been put back, so the owner knows darn well it's a bad code and is trying to get this site sent through anyway.

Hi Wren, thanks for reporting this. However this is actually a virus placed on the site by a hacker from my understanding and other sites have reported that it often takes more than one go to remove it from the site. The site may need to contact their host.

This link will show you how many other sites have had this same problem

Brandy,

I remember your email to me. We had no idea how bad this was when I sent ads. We scoured the cp day and night deleting it. That's no exaggeration either. The co owner lived in that cp looking for more in every single file.

We even had a very good friend of mine help and she did everything she could. It just wouldn't go away for good.

We finally had to kill the forum. It's nomore.

Hi Cubster,

We still don't know if we were hacked or what. Our host at the time said it was happening to alot of forums.

Please read my post to Wren. We had to get rid of Stardust because we couldn't get rid of it for nothing. Nobody could, it would go away and come right back.

I'm terribly sorry that people were infected. I should have posted here, when I finally understood what it could do, I stopped sending ads.

Thank you. smile.gif

Bonnie, Im sorry this has happened to your site and you are by no means the only site. Many, many ptr sites have been hit. I only know this because I help keep this section updated.

You could read this thread and it might help you. Goodluck

Thank you Cubster I know that my host told us that she had talked to over a 100 wms that were infected ohmy.gif sad.gif

And I heard that it is very hard to get rid of. I know that for a fact, the poor co owner would have slept in the cp if he could. biggrin.gif

I wish the best of luck to anyone that gets this...I just wish that I would have understood it more. And I will read that thread you left me, I want to learn about these things, better late then never I guess.

Have a good day smile.gif
