I purchased the SmartSearch scripts hoping to consolidate all my search engine ref links to one place, and promote my engine instead. I'm trying to use the feature under External Search Engines called "External Smart Search Installations".
I've tried placing every link possible for other smartsearch sites in there, my ref link, the smartsearch.cgi link, the include.cgi link, etc, with no luck. Has anyone been able to get this to work that can share some info with me?
Thanks!

Mayby the problem can be solved using "LWP::Simple" instead of: "LWP::Parallel".
And use this link:
http://www.SEARCHNAME.com/cgi-bin/smartsea...username=USERID (some engines does have the include-file located somewhere else)
It worked for me, because my host doesn't support parallel.

Thanks for the info, Sander.
Is that a change that needs to be made in the admin.cgi file? I looked around thru the admin console and haven't found it yet.

Totally missed that setting. I tried Parallel and got errors, but simple seems to be working. I removed all but one smartsearch site from the list, and added searchfeed just to test, and I'm gettings really wierd results. The searchfeed shows up, but starting at # 18 on my test search. 1-17 just show
1.

Parallel is something your host must supply. If you get no results when you set it for Parallel then you need to contact your host
