Has anyone noticed that Mec-co-op-pa is now blasting us with pop-up ads? I clicked on the first advertiser in Mec-co-op-pa for 10 points and got the same pop-up ad over and over. I counted 19 pop-ups for the same company. As soon as I deleted one pop-up another one came and this went on 19 times!! Enough of these frusrtating ads!!!

But while we're here, anyone else think that bubble background is sucking eggs? Even on my DSL it takes as long to load up, and it's getting harder and harder to find the login area because of all the other stuff BLINDING me on there!

I sent here a contact mail with a complaint about this. I used the contact on her site and started writing...three letters...popup...three letters...popup. I gave up and copied the text to the contact mail.

I finally dropped her after her !Heluva scandal ! She wrote me back a nasty e-mail. Here is what I wrote where the site asks for your feedback as to why you left:

The reason I left has to do with the 1Heluva scandal. I was tired of your endless promotions and then the begging. The final straw was when you started saying that you would be using Mec co op money to pay the "investors (suckers)".

Her reply:

You obviously don't understand or comprehend what i say.
I use 1heluva money to pay mec-co-op members, so i replace the mec-co-op money when i get it back.

I still pay everyone, so what's your problem?

I comprehend and understand English very well since it is my first language. I am not the only one who has had an issue with her tactics.

After she sent me this I told her to stop harassing me and turned her in for SPAMMING me.

sadly there are more companies using the popups. I don't mind one on the first page but having them on all pages is really annoying. To mention a few are wepaid, moneywithinternet, xl-email, wishformoney, crazyforcash, efm, rewardsdivine and the list prolly goes on.

It's annoying to have them every time the ptc page refreshes and it's annoying to have them when the timer finishes...it really slows everything down and i don't believe they get paid for more than 1 popup and if they put 5-10 links in an email then the rest of the popups are just a nuisance.

Some of the above mentioned sites are among my favorites but hey get rid of the popups or at least limit them to the main page.

I'm so happy I use crazybrowser...I dont have to put up with the popups.

Well, the only thing for these proggies anymore ARE popup stoppers. Thankfully there are some decent ones out there now that you can control better.

But to give her a thumbs up, Carole did change the login for paids, and that's good! So now it takes you to just a regular plain page with the login area instead of the home page. Thanks Carole!

But that dang bubble background still is a pain on the site! And actually, it makes my tummy sorta turn. I LOVE LOVE LOVE purple! But with all the stuff on page, and that pinkish bubble background, it's becoming harder and harder to even WANT to go onto the site! I'm sorry, but it really is horrible

I do not mind a shareadspace or exitcashflow popup, such as on WaysToWealth. There is a shareadspace popup when you enter the members area. She uses some of the funds for early payouts ans prizes.

Now, if a WM does not use some of the funds produced from these popups to add toward something(ads,payouts,???) for members, then I see a problem with it.

Members should get something in return from them, right. ESPECIALLY from the sites that have excessive popups.

I don't think her reply is obnoxious, she is simply stating the truth about what she does. If I had received feedback like the one that you wrote then I would be rude.

I know how to stop pop-ups, but not how to stop pop-unders, pop-ins, and exit pops.......

Personally I use a pop up killer.

Carole was/is using saybyebye banner for pop up income that goes to the members and pay costs.

Now I run saybyebye on my site, and know the massive problems that saybyebye causes. I know by reading the code at the time, carole was using the "NO POP UP FEATURE BANNER" now for whatever reason even on my site, i was was getting multi pop's on the pages with the "no pop up banner" So rather than slam it, perhaps more should of just let carole know as many did, i know that I emailed asking, and she promoptly after a day of hard HTML work. Removed all banners except the one on the enter page that should by my reading of the code only produce 1 pop up per 24 hours. The banners on all the pages was an error of copy in the header, the banner need not be on every page. This is now fixed, and to top it off the single 24 hour pop up raises more than the no pop up, it's only pennies BUT.... it helps pay the bills.

Now, as for the (site i don't talk about anymore) I know many payouts were being made in the "good days" from those earnings, many folks didn't have to wait the 45 days for payouts, there were many that didn't even request payouts that got payouts because mec was earning good money from the (site i don't talk about anymore) .

So kudo's for a good business move to once again only try and make people happy, but can't please everyone all the time.

First of all you attack me because i said i was using mec-co-op money to replace the 1heluva money i used to pay mec-co-op members.

Why it bothers you is beyond me, as i have always paid members as promissed within the given time limits my TOS allow for.
I've even taken money out of my own pocket to do so to compensate for poor judgement of ad prices.

Everyone get s paid as promissed.

These days we are all doing what we can to increase funds for our programs, to pay members, to encourage new members, create bonuses and prizes for our members, promote our sites, etc etc etc.

Carole found out about the multiple pop-ups and fixed the problem. There is no reason to jump all over her. Had she known immediately that 5 or 20 or 50 pop-ups were being created, she would not have put the codes on the site in the first place - no WM in their right mind would!

As far as being rude, I have spoken with Carole on MANY ocassions with questions, or problems, etc. She has NEVER been rude in her responses. I think that if you express your opinions in a polite manner - even if they are negative - people tend to respond in a polite manner. I know I have seen my fair share of impolite emails. Me - I try the "kill 'em with kindness approach" - until they go too far!

yeah, 3 cheers for Carole. I think she is GREAT. She and Lan are about the best webmistress around - frank, honest and no beating about the bush with bad news. I hate those who goes hugs and kisses and tries to be nice and then suddenly issue a nasty mail when the pressures of being a WM gets to them...

As for the No1duckie, I am just wondering why it should bother u where and how she pays her investors. the point is she is paying and that's all i am interested in.

Well, I don't think i want to remain silent anymore. I was a member of coppercoins and a faithful reader of the forums at myecom. i constantly heard about the complaints of mec-co-op, and with a payout of $50, i did not want to join them.

when coppercoins shut down, carole offered to transfer my earnings to mec-co-op so i wouldn't lose them. i would have to lose my referrals ( i had 1 and yes, i know, other people had many)

i agreed, so i became a member here slightly against my will . carole does email us a lot with different ideas she has for the site. they may seem like changes to the TOS, but they really aren't, or if they are, it is done with the members in mind (such as lowering payout). sometimes, she has emailed us with things that maybe she should keep to herself, but she doesn't. she is very open about what she does. ok, i can handle that. for a long time, my plan was to reach payout and leave the site because of the "changes" and how carole seemed "wacky " at times.

however, i see a increase in my earnings about everyday, which is more than i can say for a lot of sites i belong to, and i see where carole is doing what she can and trying to keep her site alive. yes, she goofed with the 1helava, but she saw it as an opportunity for her members. she did not know it would fail as fast as it did.


i now plan on staying with carole as long as she'll have me as a member ( i may quit after payout and rejoin thru DLB since i have no referrals) but i will tell her that first, and hope she is able to improve her site and make it great.

give carole some space, guys. she has worked hard and is trying to make everyone happy.

I pride myself on my diplomacy, and have always responded politely even when i'm replying to a rude, obnoxious e-mail, even those cussing at me etc.

But i guess as i get older, my patience wears thin, and i truly am sick of people like this who #1 e-mail me, #2, get what i consider a polite response with an explanation of their obvious objection. I acknowleged the e-mail that this person bothered to write as an explanation of leaving the program with an explanation of what they objected to.
#3 i get a response back accusing me of harrasing them.
#4 I get reported for spam???????

I think diplomacy is not the answer to this one...This is the most arrogant person yet.

Not only did she/he report me for spam, but when i replied to that mail with an explanation of spam, it bounced back, this person changed their e-mail account after doing that.
THis is totally sick, and deserved a sick response!!! LOL

(If you don't want people's honest answers, take the page down) You spammed me back by sending a reply, I did not ask for a reply (this is un-solicited). I did not change my e-mail address, I have you blocked, now try again !!!! I really don't care what you do with your site, I am no longer a member and will never join another site of yours.

Getting back ON TOPIC here....this other should be taken up in PM's I'm thinking.....Carole, thank you for changing the login area for the beginning of the paid links. Most appreciated.

Secondly, I hope I didn't offend cuz it wasn't meant as such, but that pink stuff gotta change somehow LOL ... it really DOES make me queasy, I think because of all the movement onsite. Your's isn't the only one, but the one I go to most. I find with my astigmatism, it's really hard to "acclimatize" on the site. And it makes me tummy go whacky.

As far as what you have to do in order to bring money to site, I have (as I stated earlier) no problem with. Each webbie has to do what they can (within reason and responsibly). The popups and most exits can be taken care of by Crazybrowser which is free, and I have a great program here now my fiance got called PanicWare, that's turning out to be delightful, and extremely nonintrusive, easy to use, and easy to set up. It doesn't stop the searches and PTC links that come up on separate pages like some stoppers do, it works with how you use the computer.

I think your program will be just fine. Don't see it going anywhere. I know you're working hard for everyone here.
