i had some free time today, so i checked out the downline builder for a couple of programs i had joined thru here, that were not increasing my downline. (SOTi, and easymoneymail) i don't know what happened or when, but my downline should be complete on both of them (according to the downline builder forum) but they are not. the links cannot be fixed because too much time has passed to correct them.

we are not able to stay awake 24 hours a day to make sure this runs smoothly, let alone days if the site is an older one.

what recourse do we have in these type situations?

Unfortunately not much.

While I understand that no one is online 24 hours a day, if we sign up in a program using the downline builder here, ultimately it's our responsbility to check to make sure everything works. I would like to think that most people do not cheat or deliberately break the rules, but things happen, e.g. script problems, cookies. To the extent possible, I try to check after I sign up. Don't get me wrong - I have lost downline because I have not checked in time - but at the end of the day I don't think there's much the forum folks can do and I think the moderators here have gone beyond the call of duty many many times and they are volunteers (So kudos)

Or if you get a webmaster who can't keep up. I joined one program and when I tried to say that the downline builder wasn't working the webmaster said she was tired of trying to keep it straight and "too bad."

It works most of the time, though. And I am thankful for it. Those downlines are hard to get sometimes.
