Software error:
Can't locate http://www.xxxxx.com/public_html/data/iConfig.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl .) at inst_mysql.cgi line 40.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster (webmaster@xxxxx.com), giving this error message and the time and date of the error

(I disguised the url)

Since my partner and I don't know which of us is webmaster, we don't know who is supposed to fix it ab.gif

The instructions say:
QUOTE
11. The last thing to do is run the inst_mysql.cgi file thru your web browser to create the MySQL tables for your package in your new database.

This file is located in the Admin CGI folder so call the url for your admin folder with that filename. ie: http://www.yourdomain.com/admin-cgi/inst_mysql.cgi

If the information entered in the iConfig.pm file is incorrect you will receive an error message when you run this file. The message will basically tell you exactly what's wrong.

Any clues? I'm stuck.
ZapGurl
did you chmod the .pm file?

(looks like the dreaded iphat scripts)
ReDucTor
It would show permission error not couldn't find if that way the case, check the path to iConfig.pm
ZapGurl
correct... (oops)

a good place to start looking for the path is is the "inst_mysql.pm" file ?

Reductor?
ReDucTor
its probably in the top, where you are going wrong is your enter a url where you should have a path..I recommend either just using plain iConfig.pm if its in the current folder, as @INC has . in it, or specify the full path, e.g. /home/user/public_html

Don't worry, it's not an iphat ptr nor an iphat ptc.

We'll try these suggestions, I'm sure we'll figure it out.
Thanks, I'll come back here and scream if it still doesn't work.

If you rewrite the whole iphat script its ok, check out the modifications on paidemailbiz's safelist for iphat's script I did.. aa.gif The new PaidEmailBiz PTR is going to be heavely modified, and put a new spin on iphats PTR

You only think you're kidding Zap :-)

All the iphat scripts I've seen have been a mess. The only thing worse are Brian scripts.

But they're fun to play with.
And cheap enough to learn on (especially when you get them for nearly free)
