Hi, I've been looknig for *ages* for a decent, free PHP host where I don't have to post on some rubbish forum for an account and with a decent filemanager where I don't have any flipping hassle when installing my CMS.
I apologise for the anger leaking through this posts, but I'm getting really annoyed now..
I appreciate any help given. The higher the bandwidth the better

Yeah, I don't get where the anger comes from. If you don't want all those hassles, then purchase some hosting somewhere. You can't really complain about something that is free.

you don't need any paid hosting - if you can stand the ads on the top visit
http://www.dhosted.com/ - they're simply the best, mine site is powered using CMS (www.neocrome.net) - installed it without a single problem...

well yes, but consider users who access website... for example me, I never even look through the content of the website that has some huge freehost adds... I just close it, cause it loads slow, it's insecure some java and activeX adds are just annoying... and some hosts even put popups... hosts don't cost much these days, if you are serious about project - such as portal, or forum, buy a normal host there are planty of them here...

Thanks for atspace. the server is down at the moment which isn't a good sign. But I really do appreciate the website.
Thankyou

Just remember just because they say it is free, this does not mean that the cost does not appear in another form. Just remember that when a service is offered for free you will have to give up what you need and want to have that free service. So I would say that instead of focusing on where to find a free service with what you want. You should be focusing on a low cost service with what you need and want.

Thank you HTML, your contribution is greatly appreciated. I will have to check them out.
I went to register for the service and got an error message stating that there were too many connections 10 and it is unable to connect. This is not a good way to start out. I tried this every couple of minutes for 15 minutes and then just gave up. This is not good if you cannot get the access to register with the site.

You usually get what you want in these forums, it is a matter of being patient and HTML came through for many of us this day, thank you such much for your contribution.

Just remember that you get what you paid for and if you don't then complain about it. If you are not paying anything for the service then you really cannot complain about it.
IF the site is just full of ads I turn away very quickly.

Thanks for all your help guys, at the time that I originally posted this thread (quite some time ago! ) I wanted to start up my own site with PHP-Fusion installed.
I kind of want to start up my own CGI-Proxy site now so I was looking for host that would support CGI hosting or "CGI-Proxy" script, (although very recently I have found a PHP web proxy script

.
Neverthless I'm very grateful for the information everyone has provided.
