I remember hearing that the Internet was originally desinged to make more data available to the public. I typed in "MLA Format" for research onmy English paper, and only 2-3 out of the first 20 respones didn't want me to buy the MLA Handbook. People, the internet should be a completely accesible place, NOT A IN-HOME SHOPPING MALL FOR RICH PEOPLE!!!

You are completely right. Many of the search engines that are promoted, are purely commercial ones.
Try Lookquick.com. It is also commercial, but you get all kinds of results, pages and pages long.
Or if you want to do a real serious search, better stick to google!!

It is really hard to find the info you want. I remember the times when you could search for cat and only got about 200 results. Now when you search for the same you get at least 100.000 results.
