1. Join the biggest paid to forums (with GPF as the most important one). Insert the ref links of the programs you like into your signature.
2. Post a lot on the forums and be friendly to everyone, try to be funny, help out newbies, always tell the truth about the ptr's that are being discussed.
3. Open a thread about the program whenever there is news. Don't forget to praise when getting paid.
4. Make a webpage and don't just place your referral link, tell things about the program that everyone should know. Payout methods available, type of ads the program sends, how many on a normal day is it a slow and steady earner or a fast and furious program, does it runs contests, well mention that and above all be honest about what you like about the program or the PO. IMO 3 to 5 programs per page, I see a page with an endless list of referral links my mind goes blank and I click on by. Tell the viewer a little bit about yourself, I'm a Grandma, single Mom, student etc. people are more likely to sign up under people they have some type of connection with, if your a frequent poster on a forum mention it.
5. Send traffic to that page (point redemption, cheap banner impressions, autosurf hits, manual surf hits, link exchanging with friends...)
6. Send a mass mail to everyone you know (relatives, friends, ....) to motivate them to join the great world of PTR (with your own ref links of course).
7. Join the downline builders.
8. Make a good offer in the downline exchange folder. An offer that makes you earn and makes your referrals earn extra.
9. Try to find/make good deals for paid to signup offers. Some members will leave again after a while but some will also stay and even promote.
10. Follow the 'flow': it's very hard to attract members to a ptr that is almost never promoted by anyone (except when it's brand new of course...)
11. Work hard! The first results might be disappointing but don't give up on it... in the end you'll be happy you persevered...
12. Don't be disappointed with only a few signups at first, if one of them turns out to be a big promotor you're downline will grow like mad (this really happened to me, so great!!!)
13. Look for good (cheap but efficient) advertising deals on ptr websites
14. Check out if there are free upgrades available (when being very active for example or having gathered some amount of points)
