I hope that someone of the more experienced people would help me! TIA!
Is there enough potential in the various “earn online” possibilities to make a (small) income? Not asking to make it in a month or even a year, but generally, is there?
I?m very computer- and internet-literate, but have no programming skills whatsoever – if need be I?m sure I could learn that however. At the moment I?ve got about 3 hours per day to put into it, but very little to no money to invest. Willing to work hard and start from scratch.
At the moment I started various PTR-programs but have no downline yet.
Would anyone help me to work out a plan, tell me what works? I mean really works, not just “join there”, know what I mean? What is one able to expect, financially, with hard work, (almost) no money to start with and enough patience?
ANY help/experience is SO appreciated!!!!

The first year I did PTR I spent one or two hours a day doing it and made very little effort to get referrals. By the end of the year I had received approximately $40. That's money actually received, not just earned and sitting in my account at some program. There was a lot more money that I'd earned but never received at all because the programs didn't pay, or disappeared, etc.

In order to make money at this you must get referrals, and in order to get referrals you have to advertise. A lot. Advertising costs money, so either you have to come up with some cash out of your own pocket, or you have to slowly build some up in your programs in order to spend it on advertising.

And the advertising never stops. You can't go out, get a bunch of referrals, then sit back and let them earn for you. People get bored with PTR. They realize they won't make much money at it and they quit, which means you have to be constantly advertising for new referrals to replace the ones you're losing.

It is possible to make hundreds of dollars a month doing this, but most people don't have a good enough understanding of advertising, or find it too boring, or aren't willing to spend the time and money they need to spend in order to do it. Anyone who has the kind of motivation it takes to make the "big" PTR money is probably also smart enough to put it to use in a business that will be much more lucrative.

Bottom line - a job at McDonald's will earn you a lot more in much less time. PTR is for people who get something besides money out of it, or who really, really like a challenge. It's not a good way to make money unless you are physically unable to do any other kind of work.

Thanks a lot for your insights. Bottom line for me is that I really want to have something I can do from home, as I?m a single mum who?d love to stay home with her little one while she?s not in school yet. As far as a real job, I?ll try to get into daycare providing as soon as my mother?s leave is over. What I?m also looking into is selling on Ebay. But I get too OT here. I really love to work with the internet/computer and I?m good at it, so that?s a big reason why I?m looking at this specifically. Other ideas would be appreciated also, but please note that MLM is not my cup of tea. Tried it before, just doesn?t fit me.

Anybody else share some advice? Thanks again!

July 2004 I was in the same situation as you, when I started PTR. My first month I earnt $30 and my 2nd $50. Since then it has steadily increased to where I now consider it my 2nd job.

It was all done in stages and I diversified in what I was promoting and using myself. I am still yet to this day really do anything with autosurfs and hyips etc, in fact I have probably lost $100 in them from experimenting and that frankly is enough for me.

If people followed the same path that I did and are willing to put in some hard work and learn new skills then there is no reason why you couldn't be earning $200 to $300 per month for yourself and have a $200 per month advertising budget.

I guess now I need to write up a tutorial for others to follow but until then feel free to pm me with any particular questions you may have.

There is no way you can earn an income from ptrs unless you spend 10 hours a day clicking. You'd probably earn around $20/month at the beginning and maybe a bit more after you do some advertising. But you could earn $20 in 3 hours working at mcdonald's.

You can also try autosurfs, which will require a starting investment from you. You earn much quicker this way and depending on how much you start off with, you earnings will increase exponentially. But these sites are risky and you could also lose a lot of money.

Thank God, I don?t have to rely on McDonalds if I choose to work outside the home tongue.gif Naturally an out of the house job brings a lot more and is easier, I?ve worked all my life so far and have no problem with that, but that?s simply not my priority at the moment. As I said, I just want to stay home with my little daughter longer, so I?m going to provide daycare and supplement as much as possible with earning over the internet. In various ways if need be. What came to my mind so far are "paid to" sites and ebay but I?m just beginning to brainstorm. Open to every suggestion. smile.gif

I think the best way to earn is with autosurf sites. But yes, there is allways danger that the program will close and you will lose money. But still it is the most profitable I think smile.gif

I started PTRs in February 2005, and in October made $90 ONLY from PTRs. In November it increased to $105. I haven't added up December yet - but I know it won't be as good, because I had a hard drive crash from an evil virus (thanks to PTPs - bleh!) so I was without a computer for a little over a week.

I spend an average of 4 hours a day clicking and I don't have many referrals except for GainPay, which I joined in on the Downline Builder here.

I have to agree with Mike on autosurfs - when they're good, they're very good. When they decide to stop paying, or disappear, there's really nothing you can do about it.

Best of luck to you - you can make some extra cash doing this, just give it some time and persistence! smile.gif

to get a good downline, you should make a website, with your referal links and info about various programs and than advertise it on autosurf or manual surf programs... that will get you a good downline and more income...!

Getting a downline in PTRs would boost your earnings a lot but it's a lot of work. There's how ever plently of PTRs that you could earn nicely without the need of a downline.

Would you be willing to share more details? Which ones are paying good? And I don?t mind the work - how to get the downline? Due to other recommendations I?m already saving up points and cents dirol.gif for basic advertising, any specific ideas (if you?re willing to share them)?
Thanks a lot!

If you're from a Search Country, the highest paying PTRs that I've found are:

Dayslook (all 1cent emails)
Luckybizs (all 1cent emails)
Real-Cashs
GainPay
GainMail
Gladcash
Classical-Mails

I make at least $10 per month from each these, ($15 to $20 a month from Dayslook & Luckybizs) and they all pay within a few hours of request.

Also, you're doing the right thing saving up points on various PTRs - that's a great way to pay for your ads without it costing you anything.

Save $5 for buying an upgrade.....

The best program IMO is ProfitShare-Mails. For a mere $5 upgrade, which last a year, you will be part of "ProfitSharing" where revenues are split between all upgraded members. You'd earn points (convered to cash weekly), 7 each day, depends on the level of support there, it could be between 10-30 cents extra daily in addition to the regular earnings all members (non upgraded). Non upgraded can earn $7-$10 per month, and with an upgrade, you can earn an extra $5-$10 each month. Majority of links here are 1 cent each.

Other good earners for searchers (search allowed countries):
DaysLook
DaysSeeking
10-Ads
PaidYouSure
GainPay
LookABC
Classical-Mail
3QuaterMails

You can earn between $5-$10+ with the above programs monthly.

"But you could earn $20 in 3 hours working at mcdonald's."

Exactly! Why do you guys waste your time with PTR's!!!??? rofl.gif rofl.gif
If you use due diligence and make some wise investments in autosurfs
or HYIP's you can make some serious money.

I started up in the online money making scene in October 2005, with
an e-gold account balance of $0. Now I have $150 in my e-gold and
am waiting payout of $730 from 12dailypro!! And also will be getting
paid $120 in 8 days from a HYIP, (hopefully it wont go down before then lol)
Yea I have lost some money, mostly in HYIP's that come and go, but as you
can see I made almost $1000 in just 2 months.

There are many ways you can also make money online, just do some research
and find what you think is best. And just remember don't invest more than you
can afford to loose! Good luck

lol u certainly aren't going to get any more time with your kids if you want to actually get something out of ptrs. Those are extremely dull and if ur not bored to death, you certainly will be frustrated to death by looking at your 'daily earnings'.
Isydia
But then again if she does paid to surf programs then she could load down a good multi tab browser and then the surf programs could go automatically ... and she would have more time with her child. Computer would work for her while she spent quality time with her child. smile.gif
