Hi, I have just about surfed everything I can find to create a link for my outgoing emails, and I just can't make heads or tails of all the info I found. Is there a simple 1-2-3 way to do it. 1) do this 2) do this and on and on. I would be forever grateful to the person/persons that can help me.

I interpreted it as you want to include a link in the emails for people to click.

The basic html syntax for a link is

CODE
<a href="http://www.link.com">Description of link</a>

change what is in the quotes to where you want to link, but keep the quotes

Although some email programs like aol/yahoo/hotmail will make it a hyper link FOR you if you just type the http://www. part. You should just be able to type out the link http://www.sitenamehere.com and after you hit space it should turn into a link... I think i just repeated myself AND thats okay.... But Hobbes is right, thats the most basic html code for a url.

Thank you ubhobbes for understanding correctly want I wanted to know and also thank you to CaspersMom for your help. Yeah!! it works with the yahoo email and of course that is what I asked, but!!! I can't get it to work in the Get Paid forum. Is it a different procedure to get it to work there, or am I missing a step or something? I wanted to add the links of the sites that I have paid for the month, in the praise and applause discussion.

You're welcome glad we could help smile.gif

Forums use a different kind of syntax for adding things like links and pictures. html isn't usually allowed for security reasons and other.

There's some buttons in the area when you click "reply" above the area where you type. On this forum, you can simply click the "http://" button. It will open a little window and ask you what the link is, then what the title is.

Another way is to type:
CODE
[url=http://www.link.com]Description of link[/url]

This will yield : Description of link

EDIT
It just occurred to me that you can just type out the url on here, without any coding syntax and it will show up.

CODE
http://www.getpaidforum.com

Yields: http://www.getpaidforum.com

Another EDIT
This is exactly what caspersmom was talking about
