I'm signe up for... 11 programs right now, and I have ZERO referrals.
Not one.
And when I do, it's just this one guy doing one mail and decides it's stupid and lets his account expire.

So basically, my question is: what's a good way to get (decent) referrals?

There are many ways to get referrals but no easy ways...lol. The key is to advertise, advertise...and oh, yeah...advertise! Decide which site(s) to focus on and write some ads. Don't just copy the front page, either...tell us what you like about the program and chances are someone else will like the same feature. You can use earnings or points for this if you don't have/don't want to spend your own money.

Add a blurb about the sites you're promoting in your signature. Personally, I rarely click on someone's signature that's just a list of sites but I have joined several programs when the signature tells me something about the site.

Build a site of your own with either all of your referral programs or you could focus on just your favorites. Then promote this site in your advertising or in traffic exchanges.

There are lots of other ways, too, but I've found these to be the most effective.

I don't promise mountains of money if you join some of those programs, but I keep it honest, saying that you *might* make a dollar a month.

always use the downline builder when u sign-up that way u have atleast 1 ref in evry level and if you are lucky and a good promoter signs-up under you u can get big downlines...an other way is signing up at ptr sites with free upgrades, this has gotten my lots of reffs for free

Downline builders do get you at least 1 in every level, and sometimes you can get lucky by getting an active promoter under you.

But mostly they are inactive peeps who are just hoping that they can get lucky and get an active promoter under you.

A few peeps cheat, and don't sign up under you but put there own , already existing ref link in.

Sometimies, if there are a few peeps wanting to join, you may have to wait a day before joining and this gives the promoters a day start on you.
I haven't seen this happen for a while, as it seems DB are not as popular.

You could try referral exchanges, someone joins your prog and you join one of theres.

You could also try offering peeps money to sign up under you. Again you may only get inactives.

yer i made a site and promote it like crazy... I just split it into sections i.e ptr, autosurf..then inserted a few referral banners and wrote (more like copy n paste) some info about them. Iv just totally redesigned it cos before it had all the scam websites i.e maystromails.com on it (had no idea they were actually scams until i joined this forum lol).. i ended up with about 120 referrals for each of them. Just be honest, advertise like mad and the referrals should come!

mono, you may want to reread the forum rules particularly the bit about not spamming your own links in the body of your message or referring to anything in your signature.

Advertising. Try to make it interesting too. I don't like to join a site from someone who just copies the front page. I always try to make my ad something personal that I've learned about the program.

Everyonce in a while I join through the downline builder. I was lucky and got a downline of over 70 for MailsForUs but it is down to like 49 or something now.

Are many ways to get refs.. Most clever way probably is - to buy advertisement in other PTRs..

PTR was never meant to be a "job" It was meant to bring advertisers and consumers together. Yes you can make some extra money doing this but if you think you are going to make a living off of it you might as well start applying at KFC or MC. Cause unless you put some serious money in and have a serious downline and are willing to spend to make money and spend hours a day clicking you aren't going to make but some nice spending money.

Now if you want to get referrals there are several ways as mentioned already. The downline builder, setting up a website. A well designed ad.

Other suggestions would be looking for a downline or upline. Looking for an upline someone pays you to join under them and for the referrals you bring in (see rules in that part of the forum for either as you have to have post minimum to use that part of the forum) Looking for a downline you can get some serious promoters as well as cheaters in your downline but you are offering them something for joining. Best to learn how it works before jumping in feet first.

Well written ads telling someone why they would want to join and what you like about the site and honesty will go a long ways. Don't cut and paste front pages. A website with more then just your banners will also help. Put some content and some interesting stuff related to ptr on the site. Nothing worse to me then going to a page cluttered with banners and popups and nothing more.

Depending on a site paid to signups will work. But check to see if the site you are advertising on checks that the referrals have joined under you. As mentioned promote your programs in your signature here.

Find honest programs to promote and people will join under you out of reputation. Good Luck.

Referals are good, get them from downline builder when you join a program as well as manual surfs

I think i understand all the ways you guys mentioned here, but i cannot figure out why some guy could get over 100 referrals during one night?

I got lucky twice , one with 63 referals and one with 47 , just for signing up in the downline builder

I've joined a couple of ptr's where I have 1 referal in each level, but my downline earnings hardly grew.

But It doesn't seem to me that this happens very often.


The best way to get referals is to make your own website and promote your favorite programs all at once.

Then advertise in ptr programs, where everybody is interseted in ptr programs .
You can buy advertising with your cash or point earnings.
