Today I had a "20 second" timer last nearly 2 minutes! What's the longest your "20 second" timer has lasted? Ever count?

This could be the reason.

Some of these programs would do anything to take advantage of ya...and it's not always the connection either.

I went through my programs and timed each of their timers with a watch (ended up quitting many of them, 20 seconds = 40 seconds etc).

I had the same issue... But I have dsl... so I do not think it has to do with dial up
My timers do not go beyond 30 minutes

yeah in fact I was surfing one day after getting high speed back and I clicked after it had passed the 15 sec. and they told me I was surfing too fast that the timer was meant for dial up users and so it was just a graphic and not reliable lol

so I guess what kind of connection you have makes the difference on how long that 20 seconds lasts.

It seems to depend on the program - but usually depends on the loading of the banner that usually goes along with the timer frames.
...unless someone is messing with the scripts...

I'm not on dial up and sometimes this happens to me too.
After awhile I F5 to refresh and after about 10 seconds or so it finally pays me.

Often for me, the timer never finishes counting down at all. I can leave the page for an hour, come back, and it's still counting down.
But if I click the link again, it says I already received credit for visiting that site.
So apparently I'm getting paid when I never saw the advertiser's site.

I do have dial up, and that does make a lot of things slower. Blargh. The other problem I have, is that sometimes when I click on an ad or a search for the VERY FIRST time, I get the "Already Visited This Site," message. I have no idea what this is about....

i get lots of problems with timers too
they never seem to reach 0 for me lol
and i have cable!!
yet if i click the link again it says i clicked already
so what i do is click a link and estimate when 20 seconds(or whenever) is over and just ignore the timer thats being displayed
always worked for me =D

Was just going to say this, if the timer appears to be stuck, just hit "Refresh"

and you'll be told you have already read the advert!

ohhhhh! this happens to me on the money suite - i'm so sick of it now. click refresh and it says "do not refresh the page" and you don't get any credit for that banner.

First this is only a wild guess but it gets the timers working for me at least 95% of the time if not more. My guess is somehow the banners demand of conectivity flow messes up the timers. Perhaps by the banners flashing, and changing some how restricting or delaying the timers to work properly. Its not all the timers or all types of banners, just certain ones causing the problem.
My solution is after the paid amount of time has gone by, hit the stop button on your browser. Normally for a timer that has malfunction it will either give you the credit in a couple of seconds, or you will get a new time run on the timer, after the stated time you will get credit. Meaning 20 seconds timer equals 40 seconds wait. But it beats waiting minutes.

Also on MoneySuite.. if you accidently click the banner more than once...
You get -- you have already been credited...
I think that stinks...
