i saw something the other day saying that they were losing their hosting due to a bunch of complaints to their provider that people were spamming their referal links (i think this is the same company, the 1 buck makes 5k one). the message said that if they didn't find reliable hosting by friday it would be closed forever. well, it's not friday yet, so i don't know. could be that they found it and are in the midst of transfering. could be gone. no idea. but that's the information they had on the site when i clicked the link the other day.

I did now even make back my $1...

It says they need a host, do you know of any that might help them?

http://www.lucidityhosting.com is the best one i can refer to them..you won't have problems or complaints from the host that's for sure. If you also have a safelist I would also suggest her.

Invest $1 make $5000??? That's a 500000% increase... As to whether it's a scam or not, only time will tell.

I dont think it was a scam because pretty much you have to advertise and if you say advertise to 25,000 people and 1/4 do it then they send it to 25.000 people and 1/4 do it then you would get the money from those 1/4 it is the same thing I am doing except mine is 10.00 and you have to rely that people will be honest and you have to advertise a LOT. But apparently someone was spamming their link and got them kicked off the net, dont think they were doing it thru a ptr site,, any way I wish all luck who invested 1.00 , I hope you do make your money back and then some (but I hope it doesnt all come in one day, might start bouncing your emails lol)

Did anyone make money on this before the site went down? I promoted, and got 7 referrals, but never made any money.

They did state that, "You may promote your referral any way you like, including the use of SPAM." I bet a lot of people took advantage of that. I was about to, but... Anyway, they can't blame the people who did that, when they, after all, did encourage it.

ALSO, I was getting e-mails from some guy name Patrick, saying he'd bulk mail 50,000 for $18. Maybe people took him up on this.

everytime they spam me I get the place they are spamming to close their accounts or if they are using free servers (freewebs, yahoo) I contact abuse..

but everytime I do it they just move their stupid games etc to new places..

What's even worse, is that Patrick uses the topic, "You paid me a dollar!" to get readers attention. I actually know exactly who my dollar went to, and it wasn't him... If he's going to lie to get my attention, I'm definitely not trusting him with my 18 dollars!

I hope they do find a new server... although I doubt it cause as far as I see it.... the persons at the top have already been paid ..

now THAT is strange, how can they close a site down but part of the site is still working. So what did this guy do take everyones 1.00 and split town? I guess the one I did was a little better, the site is your own web page so the only way it will get closed down is if you spam and I never spam, I just advertise at gptr sites cause ya know people want to click those links! (doesnt mean they will read it, but some do and maybe ya get lucky, got lucky with a lot of referals ) But so far, my 10.00 deal hasnt brought me any money either But I did pay someone 10.00 and he even wrote me to say thank you lol( I bet he was happy , I probably gave him his 10.00 back )

I think the site, itself, is legit. Let's see... how'd it work... I had signed up, my boyfriend signed up under my account, and his friend signed up under him--which put my link at the top. When his friend paid the dollar, it did go to me. The catch is, is when you promote your link, if anyone follows it and pays the $1, it goes to the person whose link you'd originally followed--not to you. So, the only way this works, is if the people who followed your link pay the $1, and then promote their link, and someone follows their link and pays a dollar. So, if you are X, and you followed O's link, you'd be paying Z the dollar, then L follows X's (your) link, O gets the $$, finally, when H, follows L's link X (you) get the dollar. Make sense?

So, to really make money at this, what you have to do, is to get someone you know to sign up under your link, and then promote THEIR link like h*ll!

What I DON'T like, is that they encourage the use of spam, and then act like they're surprised when their site goes down, because "users were using SPAM to promote their links." Well, DUH!

I think all a new url means is you have to go to the new site and get the new url so you can promote it, dont think you have to resign up unless they lost all records> (no backup??)

as for how it works, yes it works the same as my 10.00 deal except we only have 2 people on the list and when you pay one take number 1 off and put number 2 there and you are then number 2 (well I guess it is three people then lol, duh me) In all reality these things CAN work, but I think you need to find a lot of dfferent ways to advertise and no matter what the w/m says ... do NOT spam people cause in the end that will get ya in trouble , altho that is how I found out about my deal lol

I think the first people to get into these programs are the only ones to earn.... when the person who started it has made his bulk... he splits..... As I mentined in the other thread people still join the scammers and scrutinize the honest webmasters and give them a hard time..

I LOVE Gypsydads program and hes a great w/m and have always defended him because he seems extremly honest and tries to help his members with everything.whoever cursed him doesnt have a clue and I am sure gypsydad wont let one person get to him cause he knows so many of us think hes great!
as for joining the scammers and bashing the w/m`s I believe i have joined both but I dont think you join a scam knowingly, at least I never did lol and for the most part, I am still in 99% of all the programs I began with but I am seriously thinking of cleaning house and deleting some that I havent heard from or got answers from in a long time (the only thing that kept me from doing it so far is I went gold in some of these programs cost me money to get nothing , sighs)

I recieved an email from ole gpsydad saying that he was recieving angry letters from some cusing him out and being really nasty... that is hard to believe that some ppl have no home training for 1, 2 if they could just run a PTRE or any other site such as we do (I own Dollars4email BTW ) and go thru some of the bull that we actually do fo some then they proberbly would either quit right then or cry and bellyache to everyone and run them, their members off...lol.

Where do some of you people think the extra money comes from? From those that are foolish enough to send them money. Theirs is no way on earth they can earn such a return. Same thing as mlms. You got groups of people in referal levels. The bulk of the money goes to the thief that started the site, the early ones get some, the people at the bottom lose their money when the site folds.

Their is no magical money machine. Just thiefs playing on your greed.

I saw some of snotty remarks some people left GD on this board, and I hate to say it, but those people were just plain STUPID. First off, they kept commenting on the same thing, over, and over, and over, no matter how many times it was explained. And then, they obviously just had no clue. "Gypsydad gud idea not deeleete memburs frum oddur cuntrees. I no cheedur." No, no one actually typed that, but that was the mentality of some of the nasty ones. I hope none of these morons got to GD.

It's not so much a scam as it is a crapshoot. I actually tested to see if it was a scam. My boyfriend signed up under me, and his friend under him. When his friend paid the $1, it did, indeed, go straight to my PayPal account. However, my boyfriend's money went to someone else whent he followed my link, so, somebody made a profit off him. The catch comes in, in that when you're promoting YOUR url, whoever follows YOUR url, and pays $1, is actually paying the person whose link you followed. So, if you followed link 123, and that's Debbie Gibson's link, and 20 people follow YOUR link, 456, and pay $1, Debbie Gibson just made 20 bucks. But, if Scooby Doo follows your link, 456, and then promotes HIS link, 789 to 50 people, and 50 people follow HIS link and pay a buck, YOU'VE just made 50 dollars. This is great if Freddy Kroeger, Matt Damon, George Bush, and Betty Crocker follow your link, all promote their links, and then whoever follows their links pays a buck--the money goes to you, too. You just have to HOPE that happens. To say you'll make $5000 IS misleading. To say there's earning POTENTIAL, is legit.

Like I've said before, the only way to directly promote this, and get the $1 to your account, is to have someone you know sign up under your url, and then promote THEIR url like crazy, and hope people follow THEIR URL and pay the $1. I don't know if that's "cheating," but... whatever works. If you suspect it's a scam, do what I did, and have 1 person sign up under your url, 1 person sign up under theirs, and then have the person that signed up under the person that signed up under you pay the $1. It will go into your account.

Okay... I'd better shut up before the owners of these type of sites read this and hunt me down...
