Hi aa.gif

I just have a question about the PTC section on sites. Are some of them set that you have to do the PTC exactly every 24 hours and some set to be able to do them at any time during the one day?

Thanks aa.gif

I know in the cash crusader script (the one I use), you can set it to your specifications as to how often the member can click.
For example, if you set it for 24 hours, the member will only see banners that they have clicked more than 24 hours previously.

But can you allow them to click once per day, regardless of the time?

Sometimes I may click the banners at 8.00am and other times 1.00pm depending on how much other work I have.

So if I don't click them till 1.00pm, then I have to wait till after 1.00pm the following day to do them. So there are a few days a week I miss the PTC because of my work.

But if it could be set that as soon as the date changes I can click, then no matter what time of the day I clicked, I would still get the credit.

Ummm...do I make sense? LOL

The way it works is, you don't even see the click banner until more than 24 hours (or however much time the webmaster has specified) has passed.
I understand what you are saying.
If the time is set at 24 hours, and you click at 1pm today, then you will not see the banners in the ptc section at 8 tomorrow morning. They will reappear to you at 1pm.
This is how it works in the cash crusader script. I don't know about the other scripts.
Country Cash Inn uses CAC php, but my friend Audrey runs that, I barely can find my way around in the admin panel there.

Some PTR sites do have it set that you can click at any time - as long is it's once within the same day, but it doesn't have to be at the same time you did it the day before.

Not all of us can log in at exactly the same time every day to do the PTC.

I was just wondering why it was one way for some and not others. I didn't know if the webmaster set it that way and could change it, or that's the way the scripts for various programs are set.

Thanks Cathy.

It's according to the scripts.
The only way to change it in a script is to hire a programmer to change it.
Sorry ah.gif

in Cash Crusader scripts you can change it... it doesn't have to be 24 hours. it can be 6, 12, 18 whatever you want
Akuma
I guess most of the scripts use the system freeandeasy told you

why?
cause it is problematic defining when the day begins and ends
it is totally different for someone living in the USA or Europe or Asia!!

I know one reason it is set at a certain time scale is that many moons back, someone decided that if it were set at a certain time - say midnight - a member could go in at 11.30, click all the banners, then at 12.00 they could click all the same banners again - advertisers didn't really want to pay for the same person to view their banners within a 1/2 hour timescale.

Repeated explosure is good, but 1/2 hour between (in some cases 1 minute between) clicking the exact same banner from the exact same site isn't really repeat exposure - it's just clicking for the money and *** the advertiser.

Sorry if that came out wrong - was just trying to explain why some scripts are written that way aa.gif

I know what you mean. aa.gif

I couldn't agree more, this would be very handy, or else each day you have to click them a little bit later than the next.

I wouldn't have given up on Mikes if his was run in the way you are saying in2travel. aq.gif
