The problem is with mail being sent to email addresses of possible minors. Not with someone logging into an account and reading advertisements there. This is what these laws are about.

I am sorry to have started all this...As I do not want to beat my kid and I have raised very responsible kids...Teenagers will be teenagers and they do learn from their mistakes...I was simply saying..That the courts, should allow the parents to punish their children.

Excuse YOU if it requires an adult transaction then for the purposes of this discussion about these laws it's an adult ad. I DID read the thread and the sad thing is most webmasters don't care about keeping these ads from children they just worry about covering their butt so they won't get in trouble for breaking the law.

Maybe more parents would find alternatives to hitting their kids if they were given corporal punishment for breaking the law. Caning is effective punishment for criminals in Singapore.

I read the thread. The examples given include ads related to gambling, porn, alcohol, tobacco, illegal and legal drugs, loands, credit cards, bank accounts, insurance, car sales and rentals, hotels and travel packages, etc. Why would anybody need or want to send ads for those sorts of products to CHILDREN?

As to people who advocate child abuse neglect and parents letting kids run wild and who complain that the courts and child protection service don't care about kids and only do it to make money...well...no comment.

Let's not get into cat fights and disucssions about abuse. One person may see a spanking as abuse another may not.. Another may see time out as cruel... This part of the forum is not for discussion on abuse or children services or other it is about PTR.

The discussion was about sending emails to children in those two states. A comment on it is not 5 cents per email you have to pay a monthly fee and a fee per email I spoke with both states programs on this extensively and they were clear about it was children receiving emails not children reading emails inbox only.
