I was once in your position, Sciboy, and I know what it is like. Want to know how I went from $0.00 in my account to several hundred in a matter of weeks?

I worked hard at this online stuff, and it paid off. Not only do I run a very successful online e-gold game (check the sig- I'm very proud of it b/c I learned PERL from scratch to code it), but I take a lot of advice and give just as much. So much of this stuff is a team effort, you can always find a more experienced user who will take you under their wing.

It's hard to find "handouts" to get you started, so instead of waiting around for someone to give you something I suggest you start working right away, and within a few weeks (if you're good/a little lucky) you will find you have plenty more than $10 to go with.

If you really want to know fast, easy and almost risk-free ways to grow your E-gold income exponentially, PM me and I'd be more than willing to help you out, but remember I can only help you if you want to help yourself. You have to work very hard my friend. Try to hang around for few more days and then join some program in the referral builder and start out with some money, dont just join for the heck of it if you join you have to be tru to the person who has paid you and be active. Then try investing in some bubble programs, new one which will payout quickly and if you invest carefully under a downline thread you should make 10$ within a month.

There's actually quite a lot of teens in this forum. I was in the exact same position as Sciboy when I signed up on GFP 3 months ago. The only difference was that I didn't actually have the nerve to ask for a loan for some out-of-reach goal.

I'm thinking of learning PERL and PHP. Do you know of any good resources? I saw a book titled "Learn CGI/PERL in 2 Weeks" but I never saw it since.

I know there are a lot of teens and I like it.
Notepad is a very good resource to learn cgi/perl

I use notepad for all of my coding, but to learn PERL I used an excellent book called "Sams Teach Yourself PERL in 21 Days." I highly recommend it for a beginner. Of course you won't learn everything from this book but it is a great start.

For learning php + MySQL I just found some great online tutorials. The computer I'm on doesn't have the bookmarks but I'll post them later for anyone interested.

I'm just wanting to mention that you can't use NOTEPAD to code perl script...
You can use wordpad for scripting but notepad wont work for PERL script when working from scratch (But it does work for PHP)...
I've already made several PERL scripts before, which is actually one of the reasons I need a webhost...
And wit PHP i've only learn the basics but I always use the SAMS Publishing Learn PHP in 24 hours for a reference when making more complex scripts...
