When I first got into affiliate marketing I read two books that I can strongly recommend if you want to learn how to become a successful affiliate marketer.

The first one is Rosalind Gardner's "Super Affiliate Handbook" http://www.superaffiliatehandbook.com/

...and the second one is James Martell's "Affiliate Marketer's Handbook".
http://www.work-at-home-net-guides.com/

I found both really useful. Rosalind's book is more basic, while James's book is focused on an own strategy that he has worked out that rely mostly on search engine traffic.

Personally I would probably use a mix of their methods when building an affiliate site.

James Martell actually had a few of his sites penalized by Google, which is the reason why you shouldn't rely on search engine traffic alone. However, I believe he said he was using some technique that he's not teaching in his book, and I haven't heard of any readers who've got penalized following his strategy. It's the linking part that you should be careful with. Don't ever crosslink sites that don't fit together, and you shouldn't have any problems.

You can view some video and listen to some audio on James's site for free that is really inspiring. Here's the link: http://www.work-at-home-net-guides.com/pop...ideo-files.html

Check them out. If you're planning to start a career as an affiliate marketer I can definately recommend these two books. James's book is a little pricy, but at least check out the clips!

With all the information on the web, how do you determine which is the best information to read and where do you usually look for that information. I have found so many articles to read however I do not have enough time in a day to read them. What do you suggest?

lol, attagirl, Yeppers, there sure is a Ton o stuff out there to read, That's for sure.
It can Totally Over-whelm you, to the Point of non-productivity in fact.
Biggest problem I Found, was Not Finding reading material, but rather, finding Resources, that tell ya Which of the reading material is Worth Reading. Yes, there is a lot of Junk out there as well.

I'm sorry that I don't have a link or two for you right off, perhaps someone else here has a couple of good sites, but I'd suggest the following approach, if you've not yet done so.

Make a time-resource Sacrifice, as it were, (it'll pay off 10k fold), and do some searches for Forums on google. *Try overture for this as well*. wink.gif

Look for 'advertising forums' and 'affiliate forums', that sorta thing.
Try and find a couple that are fairly large, and informative, and up to date.
Find One at Least, that You feel comfortable in, Join, and Ask Away... wink.gif

Good Luck.

I agree with the above statements. There is way to much and most of it is useless. I like to evaluate and do research on many topics, but I think that I can determine if it is garbage early on in the reading. This is what helps me get through it quicker.

Do not let is confuse you as you will find out that if you take the time to check each one out and then let it sink in before moving onto the next one you will be much better off.
