Im trying to make a background using photo shop the thing is everyime I want to change the colour it had the grey scale..so my blues, reds etc are black when I paint the background, no colour whatsoever...what do I have to do, anyone know? Thanks
I used it before fine, im just lerning the ropes of it and have no idea what is causing my little problem

Gah.. I don't even have mine installed at this point... I know more than likely where it's at that is causing it, but I can't describe it without having the program open..

You made a layer of the background? That might be the reason it isn't working...

When I opened up a new page I was able to change the colour of the background. I even added some layers and shapes and tried to fill those in with colour, its not working everything is just grey or black

Such a silly girl I am. I went and opened up a new page and noticed that in the "new" window when you select the size of your background etc. I had "grayscale" selected as my colour mode lol

Good job at figuring out your own problem and fising it. I too have to sometimes go out of what I am doing and ask questions in order to figure out what is really going on. You figured it out before I got to post the answer. lol
