There are so many web sites having these "Live Weather" and "Smileys" pop-ups nowadays... Do they really get paid for showing them, or do they get paid only when the banner is clicked?
In either case can anyone please tell me the url to these affiliate sites... Where can i sign up for them and is it really worth it?
Thanx in advance

Stay away from popuptraffic. They suck and they find all sort of excuses not to pay you.

Popups are okay once in a while, but it becomes very tiresome when attempting to view a site and there are 7 or 8 popups showing up at once. Yes, popups do give the look of unprofessionality, and a lot of people block most popups anyways. The best way to go is Adsense.

The smileys and weatherbug are both paid per action so for every download they get money. Then that weatherbug spreads trojans and spyware and adware and they get paid like that!

I agree. If I visit a site that has a pop up, I find that to be very annoying and I will never return to that site again. I think that this can be very bad for anyone trying to make money from their site.

Pop up ads are only good for the person advertising on it. It is not good for those of us who do not wish to view them. I also close them immediately and refuse to go to any site that shoves them at me. I tell you now, if you want business and customers then do not use them.

Did you know you can get paid just for installing a simple JavaScript popup on your Web site? This article tells you exactly how to do this, so you can start generating some serious popup revenue within just a few minutes. The various options available to you are detailed below, so you can pick one that's right for you.
AdScholar -
http://www.adscholar.com This is a pay per popup network paying $2.00 CPM (per thousand clicks) for what it calls "GianStitials" ads (full-screen hidden pop-unders).
They reserve the right to remove you from their network within a 24 hour period if the amount of traffic you get does not meet their minimum requirements. Your site must receive a minimum of 500 unique visitors a day if your site is based in the US, or otherwise it's 1,000 per day
Payments are issued 45 days after the end of each monthly pay period. They do not say what their minimum payout is.

We do pay, I do the books each month. If you have reached the payout amount you specified, it automatically marks the account to be paid, either paypal, check or if you earned more than $5000 per month a wire transfer. The system does this automatically, we do not sit there and cherry pick who gets paid and who doesnt.
