I have won banner impressions at PBE and just don't know what to do next. Yes, that's right.....completely clueless about the whole process. I don't have a website of my own but there is a paid to read email site I would like to promote. Baby steps all the way and any help will be deeply appreciated!

Log in to your paid to read email site and check your referral links. There should be some link for the code of your banner. Then you can e-mail it to the PBE admin I suppose.

Don't be embarrassed! I'm glad I'm not the only clueless newbie on here! Most of what was posted in this thread was greek to me! LOL

You've won BANNER IMPRESSIONS? Meaning.... the site will put a banner up with a link to..... a referral link of yours?

Gosh all of this is like one giant spinning spiral. It makes me dizzy.

Yep basically it means that now you can deside what site you want to advertice, of course it doesn't nesesseary have to be a Get-Paid-To-Read program, you can advertice anything you want to (as long as it's nothing the program doesn't allow you to advertice, ie- pornography etc)

Just send the place where you won those impressions from an URL where your banner is (in a directory somewhere, ie. your homepages) and a link to the site the banner is an ad for!

example,
lets say I have a homepage at Freewebs, I have uploaded the banner there from a site where I found it, now the address to the banner would be something like www.freewebz.com/yourname/bannername.gif (this one doesn't exist, just an example!)
So when you see a banner you want to use in a program you're a member in, go on top of the banner, click on the right side of your mouse and save the banner to your computer, then go to a place in the net where you can store them and link them from (some places do not allow you to hotlink your images from) and upload the banner there!

and if that banner was for a site called gugumoneypennies (LOL I am a genious today thinking of names...) the URL to get you referrals would be something like this: www.gugumoneypennies.com/referral.yourname

I don't know if this helps you any though......

Pia....can't I just do as Mugzzzy suggests without having to save the banner to my own computer and store it myself?

Well it highly depends on the program that provides the banners, like at the moment I only know two programs that allows you to just copy the banner code and you don't have to upload it to your site's directory (those 2 being Opt-In-Pays and LinkBurst) I think Links2Cash is the same way too.... most of programs demand that you upload it to your own directory so that their own bandwith doesn't go to just banners. ak.gif

the banner is not the most importan,
the most importance is the ref link !

If you don't have the banner, people wouldn't be clicking on it, so the ref link wouldn't matter ad.gif

Right!!
The most important is your finger to click.
You still can say click with your mouth if you don't
have a mouse, but the finger is essential. ac.gif

I wouldn't say the finger is the most important...I tried clicking with my nose and it worked just fine aa.gif

I think going to the site where the banner is shown is more important than fingers...and maybe eyes to see the banner
markcls
well, then a monitor is most important =)

no, wait, an internet connection is essential ad.gif
