Subject: CCC Member Update : Virus in Paid E-mail #99 !

Hi to all:

First of all,I have to apologise to all of you.
A lot of members informed me there was a virus attached to Paid E-mail #99
which was sent out for 500 visits.I stopped everything at once and went to
find out the culprit yesterday.
The virus is JS.Exception.Exploit which will attack IE5 and IE6 browsers.
The info below is what I have found out regarding the culprit.(Of course, the
info may not be true except for the referrer part.So I am very sure it is
done by a Chinese.)I felt shame for him as I myself is also a Chinese.

referrer: munged

name: munged

username: None

ad_type: 500 Paid E-mails

pay: Storm Pays

ad_info: New! Bad Listed E-Gold Game !
Many E-gold Games :
Lucky 8 ,Simple Batch Game, Even/Odd Game , Show Hand .
Enjoy Your Winning!

Link : http://www.egoldgame.hk.st (DO NOT CLICK!!)

agree_type: Yes

Email address used to purchase ad : munged
StormPay payment account: munged

This guy paid $3.50 purposely to crash computers and to destroy this
program.Luckily it is only meant for 500 clicks.

I hope all of you have some anti-virus software installed and not get
affected.

There will be an improvement to the site very soon and some additions will
be added to the earning structure whereby members can cash out faster even
without referrals.More redemption options will be added too.

Well, having said much,I got to send some paid emails and run paid links and
paid banners.
(If you notice your account isn't credited after clicking the links or
banners, let me know as soon as possible.)

I have munged the information out there with 'munged' that doesnt need to be public knowledge on the forum. As seen they blame the person for it, thing is this, by the time they would have been notified about it there would have been the problem of stopping it, it didnt get stopped in time in either case.

This all has to do with this post here...

http://www.getpaidforum.com/forums/index.p...73&f=16&t=33038

As seen by timestamps the problem was found at probably the same time the ad went out.

I would like to see an appology from CCC for them accusing the person that sent the ad for destructive purposes. When in fact anyone looking at that above post will see that the webhost he was with previously was causing the problem and not him, the problem is NOT there now.

That there WAS uncalled for.

I had made a grave mistake for accusing James for the virus in the paid email ad.
I regret for what I have done.
I withdraw this sentence:
This guy paid $3.50 purposely to crash computers and to destroy this
program.

I have already sent my apology to all my members.

Sorry......
I decide to compensate James by running his ad again.

I have learnt a lesson...... ah.gif

I know I may have come on strongly here and in email, but as many have probably seen with me on here that I dont like accusations being made about things before all the facts are known...

I appologize to CCC for coming on strongly like I had, but I am glad that it is all straightened out...

Jaikula,

You are so nice and Thanks for your help! ab.gif

Without you,i don't know how to explain what's going on to everybody,
and i would be the "bad" guy in the PTR world......

I don't know how to say but just want to say "thanks" to you once more.

If the virus still shows up after using Norton, try Kaspersky.
I am able to discover a few more virii and delete them off.
Hope this helps!
