I have only been seriously working at building downlines for a month or two.
Put together a simple website to promote GPTR sites, using a free hosting account (can't afford a paid site yet). When I advertised this site, it quickly used up all the free traffic allowed by Tripod. The rest of the visitors to my site got a message that I had exceeded the allowed bandwidth for the day. Are there any free sites that give enough bandwith to truly be useful. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Mugzzzy and Nick181. Just opened an e-gold account---no funds yet. Did a search and found
http://www.dreamwater.com/. 50MB storage with no bandwidth limit, but not taking new signups until after 2-23-2003. Gilby programs should transfer some funds to my e-gold account later this month. Topcities has a 600 mb bandwidth limit. How much do I need? Guess it depends on where I advertise and how many ads I run. Looks like I have 2 options.
Thanks for the help.

Freewebs offers 500 mg of bandwidth (unless you become a paying member and then you get more). You get 100 mgs of space though.
Whether 500 mgs is enough of not depends on how big your page is (html, graphics and such).
Actually Tripod free offers 1 gig of bandwidth per month (or more - I don't remember) but they measure bandwidth access on an hourly basis. So if you get too many hits per hour, you will get the site not accessible message, and then it will be fine within an hour or two. Geocities does the same thing (I think it has 1.5 gig bandwidth monthly). I don't know if freewebs does the same thing though - or whether it measures only on a monthly basis.
Speaking of webspace - I am loooking for some too. But I need CGI or PHP and freewebs does not offer it. Just 30 mgs of space would be great, and hopefully 500+ monthly bandwidth. Anyone has any good suggestions? I don't mind paying a little like less than $3-5 a year.

I host my E-gold game through Ish.biz
It's the best free hosting I've found, your account is set up instantly and they give you the most freedom of any free webhost. Hope that helps.

you can try this:
www.netfirms.com
or
www.hypermart.net
both support CGI but hypermart has no bandwidth
limit. You will pay for the extra bandwidth though
if you exceed..
Why not try CASHCulture.. If offers a good webhost.
CGI,PHP,SSL, etc.. no bandwidth limit.

Cash Culture only offers webhosting to paid members. I cannot find anything on the site that free members can do. What good is free membership if you can't do anything? Remember, we are looking for free hosting on this thread.
