I came across this site that is obviously trying to steal passwords to e-gold accounts.

http://venus-soft.com/index.shtml

The offer $10 for regestering and verifying your account.

After regestering you are sent a mail with a link to verify your e-gold acount.

From there you click a link that pops up a payment page almost a copy of an e-gold payment page only its not. It sends your info to the crooked webmaster.

If you have regestered with this site CHANGE YOUR E-GOLD PASSWORD IMMEDEATLY!

When I got to the verify page I was suspecious when it didnt have the warnings to check the secure stuff that e-gold always has.
I put in a fake password, I'll see how long it takes for my e-gold page to show the last failed failed login attemt thing.

I also notified e-gold of this site.

This is a true scam!!!

Don't register! I have signed up yesterday and I changed my paraphrase immediately after that because I saw the URL of the so-called "verify" web page, it is not directed to e-gold!

I recommend fellows contact e-gold to bring down the fake site. I tried the fax number but I cannot reach it in my area. If any one of you can get it, let the bad buy go bankrupt!!!

Yeah, I new it was pretty fishy but I signed up anyways cause I only had 9 cents in my account, I've gone ahead and changed my passcode anyways, wouldn't give them the pleasure of stealing my 9 cents. lol.
