it depends on what kind of site you are going to run...
2$ for this plan is really cheap!

I don't think you can run a PTR site with a 2$ hosting plan...
i suggest you to pay the price and get a better and FAST host with more options.

You'd probably be on one server with 50 other people at $2 p/m or else very poor quality servers.
120mb space
3gb transfer
$30 per year($2.50 p/m)
Although I recommend
300mb space
10gb transfer
$10 per month
$95.40 per year($7.95 p/m)
there are cheaper ones, then what i have said above, although its not really worth going with, and there are larger ones then the one i said there, but they are what i recommend.
currently there are 2 ptr's running on the one i recommend(300mb space/10gb transfer), which are running fine.
pm me for more info, or if your interested.

http://paidemailbiz.com/hosting/fulldetails.htmlSorry one of the prices i stated was incorrect, but the one i recommend is still the same..We have done a few price changes, the actual hosting site isn't up yet, but thats the best i can point you too

But we're here, we have the latest version of PHP, I update it normally with in a few days of each release, and always here to provide support if problems occur with incompatability issues.

The site that i posted had more plans.. $2/m is for small sites etc. Also it has a note: "We offer you 99.99% Uptime, 30 Days Money back & 24/7/365 Technical Support on every package.".
I will use that site for hosting now on. $2/m with PHP/SQL and 5gig is very cheap.

GPTRs depending on the amount of members 1-10gb per month, and amount of email, you don't want to go over.
For all the costs involved in a server, connection, machine, ups, etc it total in at about $100 per month, now, so 100/2 = 50 users, with those 50 users, there is not going to be a time when someone is not using the CPU, now what sort of machine is it running.
1ghz - lets work that down to 10 large sites, because 50 won't be big, so 1024 / 10 = 102.4mhz per site, now your sending emails to hundreds of people in one go, this is going to be using up the processor quiet a bit, there won't be any time when the processor isn't doing the same for someone else, so your going to be running very slow, like someone is always sending out a mass email.
Although if your on a server with 10-15 other people with only 2-3 large sites, thats down to about 500mhz per site, your not going to be slow.
I'm not putting down there hosting, but $2 is designed for simple home made webpage, not something that involves server side processing(scripts, etc).
And thats just worked out with them not getting any profit, i'd be willing to bet there is a want for some profit so it could be up to 100 users per server..

Well, I sell GPTR sites on eBay with free 1 year hosting so I don't have a website for my plans, but I offer:
100 MB space
3 GB Bandwidth per month
PHP/MySQL/PERL/etc.
FTP
POP3/IMAP/SMTP
etc.
$40 a year or $4 per month.

NEVER trust places that offer unlimited space and/or bandwidth!!!
http://www.unlimband.com/Read the comments here made by pros about how "unlimited" does NOT exist; they will shut your site down if you use too much of their resource and they are just unreliable in general.
