Many people don't realize this.. you cannot surf with your proxy connection on..

Well this is probably because you weren't registering real hits for some reason (probably proxy/firewall issues, yes), and there is no doubt a script in place to tell the webmaster of this abuse, and therefore he deleted your account.

I joined it about a week or so and I did notice the first day or so I didn't earn any pts. Now I am I guess that part wasn't put in yet or something since they are pretty new. And I am not on a Proxy.
I really hope they pay as I spent a good amount of time, money, and effort promotin them. I do think they can swing the payout levels though. It's much lower than DG which is a story by its self.
I have emailed the admin 3 different times and had quick responses everytime. I am well over cashout and just waiting to see if they pay. I don't think people should trash the program till time tells. In a month or so and no one has been paid yes but not yet.
They have some pretty good advertising rates and I am starting to see more and more different sites. I did see that they banned the use of crazy browser and firefox which is good to keep cheating down. They are also doing a server upgrade tonight and hope it helps cause it times out a good bit when there i guess are a lot of connections at one time.
All I can say is for now I'll put my trust in them till they prove otherwise. I also noticed it takes a good while to accumulate pts. which is good in a way becasue it keeps a multitude of people who rarely or moderately use it getting the max pay in a short amount of time. I am over 1/4 from making .50 an hour

and have over 200 referrals. So if they are paying I say YYYYEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

For the life of me, I cannot think of a good reason to ban a browser.
Is it because you can run multiple tabs? You can do the same thing with IE but the "tabs" are in your start bar.
Popup blocking? Again, there are countless 3rd party popup blockers that you can run with IE, not to mention IE has their own blocker now.
Someone please enlighten me

I found out because i use firefox and earlier today I looked and in the surfer it said that my connection was refused because they no longer accept traffic from firefox and crazybrowser. The reason they do this is I know in crazy browser you can set it up to autorefresh the tabs at any set time which will start the surfer over and over. Even the best surfers stop but using that browser you can set it up to never let it stop. I now use Netscape to view pages. Not sure as to why firefox was banned I guess it may be able to do that too not too sure

If this is why they banned them, thats just silly about the auto-refresh feature of crazybrowser.
Heck, if they give you credit at the BEGINNING of the page loading, whats to stop a person from hitting refresh over and over on IE? This would have the same effect.
Most, if not all traffic exchanges and even PTRs have an internal clock that credits an account only AFTER a certain amount of seconds.
By auto-refreshing before the countdown, they should receive zero credits. If they auto-refresh AFTER the set amount of seconds, well, since this is an autosurfer it does this automatically for you 'legally'.
The auto-refresh would serve no purpose for an autosurf (unless they aren't utilizing the internal clock feature).

I emailed Surf Junky the other day to ask a couple of questions, one being about the Activity Points and how they are obtained and also how does a member lose AP?s.
They replied within a couple of hours:
QUOTE
We cannot provide the information of how the site calculates your earnings or your activity points. We can assure you that the more you surf, the more you will earn. If you run several browsers at one time your account will slowly lose earnings, accumulate warnings, and with excessive warnings your payments will be withheld.
So maybe those people complaining about not getting AP?s and credit were cheating?
Sadly there are some people who are not satisfied with the excellent earnings rate and try to cheat by running multiple windows all surfing at the same time. So you can hardly blame the PO for trying to root out the cheats.
During the last few days surfing has got bad, very bad at times but that was probably down to the huge numbers of new members. For a while they showed the site stats on the home page and on one occasion it claimed over 4,000 new members in one day.
Since I joined on the 19th my personal earnings stats seemed to be about right but then I surf honestly. But I never had any problems using Crazy Browser apart from ?too many connections? etc. I got the same results with IE. Yet on my Wednesday morning (GMT) I surfed non-stop for over three hours.
Obviously surfers will have noticed that there is no standard timer bar and the timer is displayed in the blue bit of the window at the top and also in the address bar at the bottom. At last a way of defeating frame breakers, I thought. Sadly one site has managed to get past this innovation and it stops the surfing.
The cheats will ruin this autosurfer and for what? A handful of dollars?
I?m going back to bed!

It's also started to snow quite heavily.

They offer UP TO 75 cents per hour. You start at 45 cents per hour and the points are earned by what appears to be about 2 hours of surfing. It takes 100 points to move up 5 cents per hour. So,the likelihood that they will be paying 75 cents per hour to anyone anytime soon is slim to none.
I don't usually join this type of program, but thought I'd try just one and see if it does actually pay. The first 2 days I had no trouble at all with the site, but the last 2 days I have only been able to use it for very short periods of time before getting an error message. It does seem to be some sort of server issue,so I doubt that it has anything to do with the site being a scam. I won't make my judgement until I see if they pay or not.

A cheating member is unlikely to admit that they got chucked off because they were cheating.
They usually and conveniently forget that bit of the equation in some ridiculous attempt to get their own back by bad mouthing the site.

If you log in and start the autosurf browser using Firefox or CrazyBrowser
you will get a message stating that they are banned.
They most likely banned Firefox, because when using some tweaks and plugins
you can start the autobrowser in a background state from which it won't come out.
That way you start the browser send it to the background, start a new window
and never have to look at ads/sites.
Don't know about CrazyBrowser, never used it. But probally there are also ways
to start and not having to look at the ads/sites.

Feb 24 2005, 01:23 PM
You are not the only person not to see the banned browser message rantaz37.
I have searched the whole site and have yet to see anything that says Firefox and Crazy Browser are banned. The only comments relating to browsers is, that members must not open multiple windows and use each one to surf with.
I have logged in using Crazy Browser and I have NOT got a message that states that it cannot be used.
So who is pulling whose leg?
mamasoul
Feb 24 2005, 02:34 PM
Who's pulling whose leg? That's a good question! I use Firefox, and I never cheated. Heck, my surf times have only been 4-5 hours at a time (max!) and I actually sit there and look at the ads. When I first joined, I sent them an email, asking about possible time limits on surfing because I didn't want to break any rules, and didn't see anything about it on the site. I never got a response.
But I'm not going to bother getting yet another browser, and I'm certainly not going to use IE...that's totally out of the question.

The site has been a bit flaky, and I occasionally get timeouts, but its not too bad. My stats so far are:
Activity Points: 21
Payment rate: $0.45 per hour
Hours spent surfing: 42.52
Your earnings: $19.05
I only joined about 3 days ago, so it is do-able.

Glad I never joined this one.
If my moz isn't welcome then neither am I. There is only one site that I will even use my IE for and that's dig for gold when I remember.
As for worrying about people viewing the ads, if they want to make sure people view the ads make it a manual surf. Everyone knows that very few people actually look at the ads in an autosurf.

just got my account banned. How lame, i think due to the server upgrades or what ever in the ###### their doing, this caused me to refresh more often due to not appearing pages. I guess the system took me for multiple browsing or whatever it thinks im doing, and banned me. I was up to $15.90, go figure. Best of luck to anyone, i guess as long as they pay 1 or 2 ppl and reject the rest, it wouldnt be a scam right?

I waited for more than five minutes, because after five minutes I couldn?t start to surf again, I was able to log in again and continue surfing.
Many people have stated that they are getting banned because they refreshed the page when the surfing stopped. Maybe that is where they made their mistake?
I log on and make sure that I keep the logged in window open and surf in another window. Then when surfing stops for whatever reason I just close that surfing window and click the link in the logged in window and carry on.
I NEVER REFRESH not even on other autosurfers. For each aurosurfer that I use I have two IE windows or 2 tabs in Crazy Browser, one for the logged in page and one for surfing. The only autosurfer where I cannot do that is Maximumsurf.

That's a good way to do them Jim.
But I think "refreshing" has usually been a given in running autosurfing until this program came along and even advocated on this forum. I find though that if you try to refresh in one like Aussieearners it kicks you back to the login page.

During last month I surfed for anything up to 8 hours a day just to get to the magic $25 by month?s end and I never had a problem, no silly messages, no nothing. This month I am just doing a dollar a day until they either pay or not.
