Anyone try it? Any experiences on using Peapod. I just gave it a shot today and did a shopping list and placed my order Saved me about $30 in store savings (online savings rather) plus I spent about $20 less than I would had I gone to the grocers. Plus the best part, I don't have to deal with going through the store and waiting on lines to get my groceries.

So now Im waiting on the delivery for tomorrow night and hope it goes well A friend had tried it once and loved the produce, had me touching her tomato's and seeing how ripe they wear (I hope they don't feel to violated )

But if ya heard of them or tried them or know anyone who has used this service, please let me know Would like to hear experiences.

Its a new laziness feature by Stop and Shop (A grocery store here) Where we can order groceries online and get them delivered right to your home if available. All name brands, and very good prices.

I was kinda amazed cause I get the canned kibbles and bits at the store for 89c a can, whereas at peapod I was able to get pedigree canned food for 50c a can. Im not happy bout changing dogs diet like that, but cans she gets as a treat and she's eaten everything from thumbtacks to batteries with never a problem and the healthiest dog ever so I figured no problemo there

We have a SuperStore here where you can order online and they deliver (free if your order exceeds their minimum) but you can't order the in-store or flier specials so I've never used it. Some of my neighbours (elderly, seems funny to think elderly doing online shopping) do and think it's wonderful. They grew up in communities where the grocer would deliver everyone's order to their door, so it's just a new twist on an old tradition for them.

Actually Im giving it a shot cause its like pulling teeth to get hubby to go food shopping with me and I don't drive so I need him LOL

Hes the one that eats us out of house and home too, but when its time to say we need food, I get whining.

So this sounds easier. I see the trucks here all the time with deliveries and its doesnt seem bad on shipping, plus the deals are great. It seems to be mostly used on the eastern usa which is where they can deliver, NY, NJ, CT and a few other area's.

I guess its not to well known, but seems good from what I hear from people around here. I made an order this morning and I can have it delivered anytime til 11pm and you get to choose which hours which I like, plus at certain time intervals that you choose, you could save more on shipping with little discounts and no club cards or coupons

So far me likes, but I haven't gotten the food yet so we'll see, I ordered som fresh produce, grapes, banana's, watermelon and tomatoes and some red potatoes, so thats what I'll be looking for and see how fresh it is

I would hide some food for myself and let him whine when he doesn't have any of his food left. I will be a mean wife

That's not mean at all, that's called having realistic expectations and a preplanned solution.

I had gone as far as seperating everything in halves, he gets one side of the fridge/freezer, me the other.

sighs, never heard of it but would have loved to used it! With my back the way it is, grocery shopping is a once a month thing, and I am in bed for a day afterwards, pain killers every 4 hours, sighs. We have swanns but they are way to expensive for us.

We need to get Peapod to PA! I would've figured it would hit over there, your not that far from me

I hope they do get more well known, I haven't really heard of it, til hubby mentioned, then when I'd get home I was seeing the delivery trucks all over and caught my interest so I thought hey why not, I'll make up a list, save it and try it one day, and that day was today!


But it seems they aren't widely known/used yet
