Just received this email off SharedAdSpace:

================================================

Hello Brian

Your Account has had it's credits modified (-3668.22.) for the following reason:

'The time is 11PM EST Saturday night, Feb. 1... Beta testing is over. Starting now, your credits can be redeemed for cash. Enjoy! Rod, Admin'

Regards,

ShareAdSpace Team

=================================================

Are they trying to tell me that the credits I/We already had are worth nothing?

Better not be as I had around $5.00 worth!!!

ANyone else got this email?
jazmyni
Yes and emailed the owner I was under the understanding that it was put in your advertisiging account for now until he did something with scripts....Email him hes very nice
Brianlfc
jazmyni, its too late ah.gif

Just been reading the forum on there and apparently we had until 11PM tonight to send our credits to advertising section!!!

And apparently it was in the "news" section of the site, that all credits were not valid for cash, but had to be sent to the advertsing section!!!

What I wanna know is, why were we not told this on sign-up?

Not many people read "news" sections when they join a site and it was nowhere in the T&C stating this!!!
Halsten
I'm pretty sure that on the site it was mentioned that all credits had to be used for advertising by 02.02.03 or else you would lose them...
monicagulati
hi brian, this was mentioned in the faq and in the forum at this site from day one. that is why i did not advertise it too much because i knew that it would not be converted to cash yet.

i have spoken to the webmaster quite a few times and he's a really nice guy, he even implemented a few ideas i gave him....like paying out by check and egold!!!

i wouldn't give up on this site yet.

you made $5 already??? geez i wish u were in my downline!!! ae.gif

Yeah Halsten apparently it did, in the "news" section!!!

I never read the news section and I can imagine 100's of others didn't ah.gif

I mean not many users read "news" sections once they join a site like this, do they?

Why didn't we just get an email telling us about it? Instead of the email telling us that its too late!!!

Yeah Monica, I actually splashed out on my Tasia account to throw a advert up, used about 2,000 credits on TrafficSol (that I could have sold), had it promoted on 1Heluva!!!

Jeeze all for nothing!!!
WildcatSany
i had also over $5

4,422.030 $5.31

but i think the site is good and you will have the $5 easy back..

i made the $5 in a little bit more than one day aa.gif

so it was not for nothing aa.gif

I am sure this didnt happen to 100's of people as I was close to the list of people who joined last and I was like 509 or sotmithing like that

I can't get into it either - it says I don't exist. Looks like there's a SQL error or something.
broksababie
It better just be an error as i had a lot of referrals and certainly don't want to start again!!

One of webmaster's friend told me this
what you are seeing if the site after DNS propogated for us too LOL
he's got to transfer the db with us in it to the new server now
he couldn't allow one to be setup on the new server or it would have people signing up in it and people in the old

Hope this helps ;-)

You can connect your database remote.....

I can't login either. I'm member 215. Apparently they were having problems with the database. I hope they get it fixed. Keep an eye on their forum AND the news area.

I joined sharedadspace and Exit Cash Flow the same day.

I promoted both to my mec-co members.

I've run the ad 4 times at mec-co-op over the past 4 days.

I have over $5 in my exit cash flow account and 10cents in shareadSpace

Guess which one i'm sticking with!

LOL

**** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ****

What I have to say is going to be hard for people to take. Trust me on this, I am VERY unhappy with what happened. Modwest, our hosting server, tried to move the database over to the new server last night. For some unknown reason, they lost it. To make matters worse, the last complete backup they made was on January 14... 2 weeks before we even launched. They *said* that the had a backup on January 30 but when they restored it, 75 advertisers appeared and ZERO members (not even my own account)... The sad situation is... We have to start over. I know this has just ruined my reputation, but it is TOTALLY beyond my control. I know all of you have lost time, money and referrals but I hope and pray that all of you can understand the situation. We WILL be back online shortly. I have even cancelled my account with Modwest and have found a much better host that can handle the traffic we have been generating. What will make all of you hang in there and wait for this transition? I will need a few days to come up with a plan that will benefit everyone involved. On a good note, we found a faster server with an 80gig harddrive and 400gig transfer per month. With all this extra space and bandwidth, we will have room to host your websites with us  Let me come up with a solution and, although all of you have been damaged by this, in the end, we will all make out better. How about free credits for everyone for the first week after re-launch, an attempt of reconstructing 'some' of the database... Giving all nonreferred new signups away to 'someone' (still working out a fair way on this)... The best news we can get out of this is "freewebpages" for all active members... The site might be down for a couple days while the new IP gets propagated throughout the world. I sincerely apologize for this. I hope all of you will give us another chance to make this right. Hope to see you back in the member base in a few days.
Brianlfc
Personally I think this is a load of BS!

I'm a very unhappy person, I have wasted lots of advertising and traffic sent to this site and now ALL was a waste of time!

First he gives us this story where all our early credits were deleted without giving us CLEAR notice beforehand, ok there was a message in the news section of the site, but 99% of the users didn't see this!

Now he tells us the database has been lost!

Surely if he wants to runs a site like this, its important that he backs up daily or uses hosts that are reliable!

So Mr SharedAdSpace, any chance of a refund on the $1,000's that have been spent on this site by us lot?

No? Didn't think so ah.gif

I think its about time we were compensated for mistakes like this, I mean I can understand a simple GPTR site losing databases, but imagine the difference between money spent on a GPTR site and the money and traffic we've blew on this site!!!
Brenda@PJ
Uh, HUH???? Well, I hope he gets it sorted out, I had done the same as Brian... I thought the program had great potential.
dgj4159
The webmaster has been able to recover SOME of the database. If your member number is 427 or lower you should be able to login again but your downline may or may not be there. Go over to their forum for more info. sorry I don't have the link right now. Thr webmaster is trying to make things right. I think we should give him another chance. Everyone makes mistakes at first. He's learning.
Brenda@PJ
Thanks, I will pop over there... I was 572 ah.gif
GeeJay
I was number 709...must I signup again ? ah.gif
Brenda@PJ
I am thinking so... mine wasn't restored yet so I re-signed up. Also, the surfing page isn't working. ah.gif

This is a mail from ShareAdSpace...

Hi GeeJay,

I want everyone to wait for the moment because we are freezing signups. The reason is this, if you sign up again, you most likely won't get your sign ID# back. Since alot of people have these ID's out there promoting, I really want to give them their original ID back. My programmer is setting up a script right now that will let me 'manually' override the numbering system so I can fill all of you in to your respective slots. All NEW members will begin with the ID#1000

Hope this helps,

Rod
