e-gold users are now asked to use NetPay or be forced to quit. ah.gif

QUOTE
Hi all members of paidbanners
This email is IMPORTANT so Please read and study it
I have today removed the Egold option from paidbanners
Cheaters continue to use egold because of the easy way they can change the payments
and daily i have emails from members who have had thier account hijacked etc.
I seem to spend all my time checking egold payments prior to sending earnings
and i do not wish to carry on like this and risk my account being hijacked
As I believe thier is a suitable alternative for those members who can only use egold
I have now decided the time is right for its removal.
So as from today NO earnings requests for egold will be accepted.
Payments for the 20 cent january offer will however be sent to your egold accounts
All egold payments will be sent to NETPAY.
Netpay is free to join and allows transfer of funds to your egold account
Its only drawbacks are that you have to have $5 to transfer and they charge 3.5%
and a monthly fee of $1.50
However they do not charge for internal transfers unlike pay pal and egold so for high users you will save money
To compensate my members who can only pay by egold I am happy to pay the 3.5% transfer fees
This means that every payment request for net pay I will add 3.5% to cover the cost of transfer

EGOLD ONLY USERS
If you can only use egold then you must now join NETPAY
Here is the link to join
www.netpay.tv/
When you make your next request for payment please include your egold account number you joined with
and your netpay account

For those of you who use egold it may be worth you checking netpay as they can save you money and it is more secure

Any members who are unhappy with this decision are welcome to request all due earnings  and resign from the program

Once again i am sorry to have to do this but i am not prepared to continue with a system that is open to abuse
Regards

There are ways to verify e-gold accounts.

But, I think 99% program owners dont want to know or care on how to stop people cheating...

There are other payment system than just Netpay ... well, he was friendly enough to give his reflink to join tho ... that helped aj.gif

yes! exactly! They punish us and it's not fair.

that's why (it may sound harsh) but when I start my site and forum if I catch a cheater they will be banned, they ruin it for the rest of us. ah.gif

moneybookers limits the amount of monthly transactions.
what's so high about Netpay's fees? 3.5% is reasonable, and Nigel is paying for it! ai.gif

although I don't like his decision, I fully understand it... e-gold doesn't verify the customer's identity, it takes seconds to create an e-gold account and it can be cashed out anonymously. now add the amount of scams running around lately (those "please update your e-gold password" emails) and you'll understand... Hopefully he will add other payment systems.

You can verify e-gold. I can send Nigel a proof of verification of my e-gold account and this thx to omnipay the founder of e-gold.

I have a complete verification of omnipay, otherwise I could not benefit from the low fees.

This verification is on paper I can scan it and send it to him or other WM's who want to be a part of that anti e-gold hype.

Mario

I can only use E-gold to. It's not fair that I paid to be in this program and now I have to change to a different payment system to be paid by them. The fees wouldn't be to bad but $1.50 a month is stupid. And I don't know of any other PTR's that take NetPay. ah.gif

Mario: that won't help, any scanned image can be forged.

i'm sorry this is absolute BULL. a cheater has still has to pay 7.50 to get in, and they can't get the money back simply by referring themselves! it doesn't make sense. and those people who want to cash out their earnings and quit... how is he gonna pay them?

the point is that cheaters (call them fraudsters) set up referral accounts with stolen e-gold accounts and cash in $3.5 per ref which they can get via paypal or whatever other payment form PB supports.

Actually, when your e-gold account gets limited you cant even receive funds with it. The latest one that has been posted, try and send some e-gold to it and you will get a message up reguarding that...

Another program that just ups and changes their terms, and what's worse, we had to pay to join. Besides I bought myself 3 referrals and now he expects us to pay monthly fees to stay in the program or quit and lose our money we already have invested. Pathetic!! Hi,

You fully understand his reason ... guess you have Paypal ? :-)

If I open a Netpay account .. and how convenient, Nigel gave his reflink, it will cost me money to use Paidbanners .....

Paid 7,5 $, have no refs, takes me about 3 month to cash out , Net pay has a 1,5$ fee every month .... costs me 4,5$ every 3 month to be able to cash out 3$ ???? Makes no sense :-)

Had I known that, I'd never had joined ... I don't join sites using Netpay as only solution for me ... if I joined paying with an e-gold account, why doesn't he pay me back on the same e-Gold account .... ???

And what about Netpay account on the name of my brotyher, my sister, my father etc .... it won't stop many cheaters, it will mainly stop honest members to use paidbanners ...

I do think webmaster considered only his point of view and I feel sorry for my upline who paid my membership, will be far less motivated to click on those links now ....

baph0met
No, Sophie, I don't have Paypal (at least not one of my own). I'm sure Nigel will add more payment options, since Netpay is not feasible for small amounts and Paypal is not accessible to everybody. My point was that if he reached this decision because of cheaters I understand him, since I don't consider e-gold safe.
sophieca
Well, e-gold wasn't safe when he started Paidbanners .... it's not like if Nigel was a newbie in GetPaid world and didn't know better ;-)

I hope he'll add some more options .... would be very bad for his reputation otherwhise ... let's wait and see whet he'll do ;-)

netpay doesnt every require any verification ae.gif

and if u lost password in netpay u can request by email ! its unsafe!

by egold they call u to give ur password back this happened to my friend!! he lost his passwd and emailed them and the same night he received call from egold and they told him his password!!!

egold is 100% safe , its not crackable, the account which get hacked is simply because those people put their password in the email they receives! or in fake egold websites!! its people own fault!

and people use egold to send this type of email because egold is the most common payment system which is used by the most people which dont require verification. if netpay become common people will start doing the same with it too! ah.gif

I agree, my passwords for my money accounts are different than any of my GPTRE sites and every week I change them to something different. I have had about 7-8 invalid login attempts but they never got in. There's never much in there anyway, I don't know why they'd bother.

True, not everyone can or wants to use PayPal. But really, if you do, it's worth it. It's an official, legit online payment system, you fund it with money from your bank account (if you are in US), you can easily withdraw money from it straight into a bank account, and now Ebay and other online stores use it.

It's not hard to get a PayPal account...and you can easily view who sends or bills payments etc. cos' their names actually come up, not something like 657484. Plus, the PayPal staff really gets into it when you report scams or problems to them.

And only legit outside of the US if you have a credit card.

I made an enquiry to my own bank here in Australia, and they are willing to confirm bank accounts over the phone with Paypal. Yet, Paypal say they cant verify Australian bank accounts. It's rubbish, they can, just takes one phone call.

If you join a site saying Paypal only and you can't have it, blame yourself, if you join a site paying 7,5 $ thru e-gold to be allowed to join and when everyone has joined and paid, webmaster sees fit to say now e-Gold is not allowed anymore .... hmph

PayPal sucks. E-Gold Rules. That is why PayPal is having a major lawsuit against them for wrongfully freezing people's accounts, and streal their money.

Hmm...I haven't had any problems with PayPal so far, and they had no problem verifying my NZ savings account. It took like 2 minutes...online.

When did you try to verify with them? Maybe they have changed it.

Nope. I don't trust/can't stand E-gold.

It took ages to fund. My big Aussie bank wouldn't fund from credit card, even indirectly through a goldtrader, without a live 3 way phone call between me, bank and gold company. What fun.

I went on holidays, forgot my password. Asked E-Gold to resend it. They said my phone number was wrong. So I had to wait 2 weeks for them to snailmail to Australia with new password. I logged on, found my phone number WAS there (altho a mobile), and that my money had disappeared. Russervices Ltd (scum thieves) had taken it all. And no, I don't remember responding to an email from Egold. There are so many of us, it must be an insider.

At least with Paypal/credit you could cancel fraudulent transactions.

Are Stormpay any good? Can they reverse fraud?
