I have ws_ftp on my computer and it changes some of my icons(internet explorer, some file folders)
to these weird icons even when I am not using the program.
Is this normal?

Are you sure it's ws_ftp doing these changes? Sounds more like a virus.

It could also be that your icon cache is corrupt or full. If that's the problem, you just have to delete the file, but I don't know what system you're running so I can't tell you which file to delete.

Use Google and you'll find a ton of pages that will tell you what file you need to delete on your system.

Try downloading TweakUI for windows it has an icon repair module to it. This is for XP if you need another version holler as you have to use a different version for 98

I just uninstalled it and all of my icons went back to normal.
This is the 2nd time I downloaded something from download.com
that made me feel like it was spying on me.
