A lot of people ask about these (mostly SmartSearch sites but they can be converted for others), so here they are:
SmartSearch Base Scripts: The SS scripts themselves, at a $25 discount.
Base Script Installation: If you don't want to install the SS scripts yourself. Also, when I install the scripts I include the data blanking bug fix, join date and IP logging and various minor enhancements at no charge.
Basic Package Upgrade:
- Gives affiliates credit for clicks on listings from external feeds (SearchFeed, etc...)
- Decrements bids to accurately reflect (and increase) profits from external feeds.
- Adds bid decrementation control to admin.
- Adds multi-level cheat protection for external feed clicks.
- Adds improved logging for external feed clicks.
- Existing feeds are integrated with above.
- Required for many of the upgrades below.
Enhanced Package Upgrade:
- All of the features of the basic package upgrade above.
- Country filtering which stops affiliates from getting credit for clicks from countries that the feeds do not pay for. This greatly increases profits.
- Full admin control of allowed countries on a global and per feed basis.
- Admin control of global and per feed click limits.
- Uses an external filtering service (run by me). The filtering database is updated frequently so you can count on accurate country identification. The service runs on multiple servers, meaning it's very fast and always online. At $5/month (payable by PayPal, INTGold or StormPay subscription) it's also much cheaper than other 3rd party identification services.
New Feeds: Includes full admin control including on/off, bid decrementation and number of listings to display. Also includes integration with all features of the package upgrades above and any other relevant upgrades from this list. Note... Prices vary for some feeds. The majority of feeds are $15.
Payment ID/Other Fields: Adds payment ID fields (i.e. PayPal) and/or other types of new fields to signup, member section and admin and integrates them with the scripts.
Earnings Manager Pro:
- Displays individual and total earnings of all members that have entered a payment ID (see above).
- Allows you to zero/debit member accounts after payment has been made.
- Can display in database compatible format for mass payment using services such as PayPal and MoneyBookers.
- Can make one click (automated) payments and deductions via E-gold and INTGold.
- Stores history data on payments made.
- Can be integrated with the ID filter to exclude banned/probation accounts from receiving payments.
- Can also be integrated with the payment request system if you want to pay only members who have requested payment.
- Includes an archive feature. Archived earnings can be loaded into the earnings manager at a later time for browsing, comparison and payment.
- Creates multi-sortable payment history reports that can be imported into most spreadsheet, database and accounting software.
Payment Request System: Displays payment request buttons for members once they reach payment minimum. Works with payment ID fields (see above) and can display different types of payment buttons at different minimums. Will only display payment buttons for payment options that members belong to. Requires payment ID fields upgrade unless you do not use online payments (PayPal, e-gold etc.)
Affiliate Membership Levels: Allows you to set multiple levels of affiliate membership. Each level receives a different commission. Useful for offering a bonus to high quality/traffic affiliates, or long time members.
Multi Account Protection: As the name implies
Affiliate Approval: This upgrade requires all affiliates to be approved by you before they can start sending traffic. Affiliates who are not yet approved can still login to their accounts and perform advertiser actions. Requires Suspend Account Filter.
IP Deny Manager: Highly efficient banning system that allows you to assign IPs which are not allowed to send traffic to your site. Supports banning multiple IPs at once.
Signup Country Logging: Identifies and stores new members country location. Allows you to compare to the country they say they're from for anti-fraud purposes. Requires country filtering subscription.
Contextual Ad System: Allows you to serve contextual style ads. Ads are shown on partner sites based on random keyword selection from a user submitted keyword list. Submitted keywords require admin approval. Also includes a code generator for partners and editable templates for each ad style.
Affiliate Login Logger: Provides information about recent logins by your affiliates. Can be useful for catching cheaters.
Admin Access Control: Allows you to give increased access to low level admins by controlling which sections each one is allowed access to.
Anti Fraud Tweaks: Four new anti-fraud controls. Upgrade includes the latest version of the package upgrade at no extra charge. The details of this upgrade are not publicly available for obvious reasons. Requires one of the package upgrades.
Click Statistics: Upgrades the click related aspects of your logging system and provides an admin interface to detailed statistics about each affiliates clicks during an adjustable period including the feed the listing came from, keywords the listing showed up under, user IP address, the bid price and the time the click occurred. Results are sortable by each column and can be searched (wildcards supported) by selected columns.
Search Statistics: Upgrades the search related aspects of your logging system and provides an admin interface to detailed affiliates search statistics during an adjustable period. Includes keywords searched, user IP address, referring url and the time the search occurred. Results are sortable by each column and can be searched (wildcards supported) by selected columns.
Click Origin Statistics: Allows you to see which countries your traffic is coming from, broken down by percentage. Includes global and per affiliate stats as well as it's own logging system. Requires Enhanced Package Upgrade.
Click Stats for Members: Similar to the click statistics upgrade above but designed for viewing by your affiliates. Becomes a new affiliate statistics option.
Admin Finance Page Upgrades: Various improvements to the finances page including the ability to view finances by day, EPC information, referral earnings and the ability link directly to individual click and search statistics (assuming you have the Click and Search Stats upgrades).
Search Country Filtering: Requires enhanced package upgrade and country filtering subscription. Allows you to filter searches by country in addition to clicks. Filtering can be done globally or for individual feeds. In some cases this will decrease your server load. However, while this upgrade can be useful for some sites, for others it can actually decrease profits by stopping clicks from getting sent to feeds that they might otherwise end up paying for.
Affiliate XML Feed Control: Allows you to turn the ability to use your XML feed on only for affiliates that you have approved. Also, optionally, lets you choose which feeds individual affiliates receive results from.
Advanced XML Control Utility: This upgrade is designed for large sites with a lot of XML users. Features include the ability to change the XML status of all XML members at once, view all XML users and create pre-set groups containing a list of feeds that can be applied to XML members in one click. Requires XML Feed Control upgrade.
Suspend Account Filter: Lets you suspend an affiliate account (including accounts that have already been removed). Suspended accounts cannot send search traffic and are not considered for payment using the earnings manager.
Domain/URL Filter: Adds admin feature to ban/unban/view domains that are not allowed to send traffic to your site.
Context Ad Keyword Filter: If you run context ads (Google Adsense, Clicksor, etc.) on your search results pages, this filter allows you to disable the display of context ads for certain keywords. This filter will work for any kind of external ad that is implemented by inserting HTML or Javascript code.
Inactive Member Manager: Adjustable report of all members who have been inactive for longer than a given amount of time. Allows you to remove inactives one at a time or automatically all at once. Also includes the option to send inactivity notices.
Member Confirmation Manager: Allows you to manually confirm members who are having problems receiving their confirmation email. Also allows you to resend confirmation emails and remove old pending affiliates from the confirmation data.
Turing Validation: Validates affiliate clicks using turning numbers. This is virtually 100% effective at stopping all forms of automated cheating. Turning numbers can be turned on globally or for individual feeds. It is very important to keep in mind that this kind of system hurts the usability of your search engine and will lower your traffic. I only recommend this upgrade as a last resort.
Turing Stats: Requires Turing Validation. Lets you create reports showing turning failure rates, also allows you to reset validation status on individual IPs.
Keyword Blocker: Adds the ability to block searches for certain keywords either globally or for individual feeds.
Feed Timeout: Allows you to set a maximum amount of seconds your scripts will wait for an external feed to respond.
Referral Stats: Adds a new option to the account page which shows affiliates a list of their referrals IDs and gives a total referral count.
ProxyGuard: Advanced proxy traffic detection, monitoring and management system. Includes integrated access to proxy port scan and open proxy test. This upgrade is designed for successful sites that are having problems with cheaters/poor traffic quality.
ProxyGuard Live Addon: Background monitoring system that automatically suspends affiliates who exceed a set proxy traffic percentage. Requires ProxyGuard and Suspend Filter.
Data Blanking Bug Fix: Fixes the only known bug in the SmartSearch scripts. Bug is fixed in numerous areas of the system. Note... If you have SmartSearch version 4.35 or later then this bug is partially fixed already. You probably will not need this upgrade.
Member Backup Utility: Designed for dial up users or very large sites. This upgrade lets you create backups of only member profile and balance information. The resulting files are small and can be downloaded quickly. Utility can also restore backups.
->Anything else: Custom upgrades are always an option.

I already have the first two. I'm interested in those three for 7c7. I am thinking of going with SmartPPC, but I hear the quality isnt the best.
The upgrades in the package all go together... they're linked. It wouldn't be any cheaper to break them up because that would require writing extra code.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean... Country blocking (or, in this case, country filtering) is one of the things that keeps PPC search engines alive. Otherwise they'd be paying for huge quantities of clicks from people who can't even read the advertiser messages.

Automated click thingy... I have an affiliate from China...
900 clicks in 2 hours... all from IP's very similar, all at the same keyword. That was a great use of the delete affiliate button.

Virtually all PPC search engines pay for some international traffic.

This does include the big ones... Overture (the daddy of PPCSEs) is solving the problem by opening international versions of their service for various countries.

I do advertising/keywords for one of my clients who only ships to USA, therefore we only need USA traffic and thats what we pay for mostly. We do get a few international, or unaccounted hits, but mainly from USA, this from Google and Overture.

Just added a new upgrade to the list above...
Just added even more new ones... Those of you with successful PPCs, take a look at the Earnings Manager... Among other things, it automates the process of getting earnings info into a spreadsheet for mass payment (i.e. PayPal, MoneyBookers, etc...).
I would recommend you all get Ian's mods, I have spend nearly $300 with him for working on Orangiez. If you want to run a successful PPC, get the mods.
